The Rules
We have only basic rules here at Kax, and they are there to make the forum a better and happier place for all of our members. While I am flexible with most things, these rules need to be followed.
Spam. I am extremely lenient on spam, but please refrain from blatant spam. Some off-topicness is also fine, but please start a new thread if you want to discuss something new stemming from that subject. Spamming can and will get you a warning. If you do not understand what spam is it is Short Pointless Annoying Messages.
Flaming and insults. Are not allowed. Any direct insulting, name-calling, deliberate baitings, will result in warnings, suspensions and even banning if it is too bad.
Discriminating Posts. No sexist, racist or otherwise discriminating comments against sexuality, religion, etc will be tolerated on this forum. It will result in automatic full warning which will lead to banning if continued.
Swearing. Keep it minimal. No one wants to read a post full of pointless swearing.
Double Posting. In most cases this is not allowed at all. The Chat Spam thread is an exception, but posting just spam to increase post count if no one else is online, is still not allowed. You may post after your last post only if you have something more to add and more than 24 hours have passed since that last post. I allow this simply because people will not see that your post has been edited and won't know there is more to read.
Advertising. Kax is not an advertising forum. If you wish to advertise your site or forum then add a link to your profile and/or your signature but do not make a post about it. Please do not PM other members with the link to your site/forum, unless you know them well and have been asked for the link. If you have just joined the forum, don't do it. As well as it being rude to me as the admin it is rude to other members who do not wish to have their inboxes spammed with random forum links. If any member gets a PM like this please forward it to me so it can be dealt with. We have a section for Interesting Weblinks, you may post your site or forum there only once you are an established member of our community.
Affiliation. We have no affiliation table and currently do not affiliate with any other site. The answer will be no to any request for it.
Hotlinking is not allowed. This means posting a picture that directly links to another site, including signatures and avatars. It is strictly against proboards TOS which you all agreed to when you signed up. If you want to post any picture you must download it to your own computer then upload it using another site like photobucket or imageshack who will then host it for free. If you don't know how to do this send me a PM and I will explain it fully to you.
Images. Pictures must be under 600x200 pixels, not everyone has unlimited or fast internet access. Be kind to dial up, do not post pictures for no reason. Signature images must be no larger than 500x150 pixels.
Spoilers - Any TV Show episode that has not aired in America, UK AND Australia must be in spoiler tags, and you must say which episode the spoilers belong to in your post. Every post.
Downloading and talk of other illegal activity is not allowed here. It is illegal, and thus we do not condone it.
Mini-Modding. If you see spam or rule breaking, don't take it upon yourself to tell the person to stop. That is the moderators job, if you see it send a moderator a PM telling them about it.
