*Shudder, Gasp!* No one has started a thead on this? Tsk tsk! New show, starring David Boreanaz as one of the major role. Heard of it? Well, now ya have!
Has anyone else watched it? I did, and I thought it was a pretty good starting ep. I'll give it a 7, seeing that the story and characters haven't had a chance to develop and get more interesting yet. Not that the first ep wasn't interesting.
So did anyone else watch it?

Sorry 'bout that. And beck, it is basically about forensics and finding bodies, figuring out who they are, and finding out how they died or who murdered them. Or that's atleast what the first ep was about.

I watched the premiere last night. Okay, I wasn't totally watching it I was on the net at the same time so I wasn't paying too much attention. But it seemed just like every other CSI type show. I have it on tape so I'm going to watch it again to get a better view on it.

It's kind of like CSI, but not exactly. The team usually only works on cases with bones-trying to figure out who the person is, what killed the person, etc.
David Boreanaz plays an FBI agent-not a police officer. And there is a lot of sexual tension between Booth (DB) and Bones.
I like it. It's not the best show I have watched, but it's entertaining.

Well, I'll admit I didn't really like it at first, but now I'm kind of liking it. I didn't like Booth's character because he seemed kind of cocky, but I'm kind of getting used to it.

Did anybody notice the Angel parallels in it?
Booth used to kill people for a living-in the no conscience cause it's my job kind of way Angel used to kill people-in the no conscience and it's an art kind of way
Booth is trying to make up for all the killing Angel is trying to make up for all the killing
Besides that Booth and Angel are completely different, but I thought it was interesting.
Oh! Plus they both wear dusters. Dusters kick ass.

The first season hasn't ended yet. Twenty episodes have aired so far. I haven't heard anything about whether or not there will be a second season. I've been looking, too. I hope there is.
EDIT: The first season just ended in the US and there will be a second season starting in the fall.

I really enjoy the show. I think it got off to a slow start, but definitely picked up momentum.
I really like the anthropology aspect of the show and think that the characters have great chemisty and are forming a rather unique group bond, especially considering how different they are. I especially like the Booth/Bones interaction and the Angela/Hodgins interaction.
I'm very excited for the second season!

Reviving this thread as the show starts up again in the US next week, August 30. (Hope you don't mind the double post.)
I've seen a few of the promos, and the season looks so very promising. I'm not real big on spoilers, but from what I've seen, the new season promises more Brennan/Booth interaction and to continue to mystery that ended the first season about Brennan and her parents.

its cool to double post when the last one was so long ago Unfortunately I've only seen one episode but I really liked what I saw. It was one where the DJ has cocaine rubbed in his face and then he runs into the wall cavity and dies along with his girlfriend

It was one where the DJ has cocaine rubbed in his face and then he runs into the wall cavity and dies along with his girlfriend I'm ashamed to say I don't remember that one. Because of my rehearsal schedule I had to tape the show almost every week (along with a bunch of others), so I watched a lot of shows on Saturday and at times they all blend together. From what I hear of the first two or three episodes it sounds like they'll be advancing a couple different storylines. The one I'm most interested in, besides the Brennan/Booth relationship, is delving into Booth's personal life a bit more. (It sounds like a few episodes will kind of feature around his son and the son's mother.)

Oh! The Man in the Wall--now it's coming back. I've spent so long looking for screencaps for my art (all of which are sorted by episode) that I'm starting to learn ep names. That was a good episode. Hopefully you'll get to see it. I hope I didn't spoil you too much by telling you he has a son. I didn't mean to give anything away, but up to this point his son has been seen or talked about only every once in a while and very briefly at that. He's not played a major role yet.
