Yeah, I would never give any huge plot arcs or twists away without asking before posting--or maybe PMing them if someone was interested.
The new season starts next Wednesday here. I'm so excited. I heard an ad for it on the radio on my way to Freedom Farm today, so got all excited again!
I'm hoping we see more of Hodgkins' life/background/personality in this one and more interaction between him and Angela.

I missed it! I missed the season premiere! I am so upset! I got the days mixed up--I thought it was on Thursday instead of Wednesday! I'm really upset...hopefully I can catch a re run or maybe I can find it somewhere online.

I won't give anything away, as I missed most of the episode due to our cable cutting out every few seconds. However, I got the gist of the episode and it seemed like it was great--a good solid start to the new season. Hopefully I'll be able to catch it again soon and catch up on the details.

I managed to catch my first full episode of Bones last week. I thought it was amazing!! I know there are a few other US viewers (I don't know what other countries are airing the current season, if any), so here's my take on episode 3, if anyone's interested. -- I'm beginning to like Camille. Having caught only bits of the first two episodes, and having been predisposed to hate her from spoilers and her previous relationship with Booth, I had just assumed I wouldn't like her character. However, I do. I think, as the newcomer, there's quite a bit she has yet to learn about the dynamics of Brennan and her team (and Brennan/Booth), but I think she's starting to realize that Brennan not only commands fierce loyalty but that she is quite good at her job.
-- I liked the scene at the end of the episode between Brennan and Camille. I think they're both learning they have quite a bit to learn. I can see them becoming quite good colleagues and possibly friends.
-- I absolutely loved the scene between Angela and Hodgkins with the "Romeo and Juliet rose." I rewound it and watched it a couple times. This is quickly surpassing Brennan/Booth as my favorite ship, simply because I can see it happening in the near future, whereas the writers will naturally want to drag out the Brennan/Booth relationship. Also, there's a bit more tension between these two, whereas it's more obvious that both Brennan and Booth have some type of feelings for each other.
-- I also liked the scene where Booth tells Camille he's behind Brennan all the way. Even though the writers may be mean and stretch the tension/will-they-won't-they aspect of their relationship out for as long as possible, I firmly believe there's something there, and it was interesting to see Camille's reaction.
-- I loved that this case hit close to home for Brennan. I think those are always the better cases for her, because she fights harder for them and we see a bit further inside her.

Bones hasn't been on because of baseball!!!! Grr... I think it's good so far this season! I don't know the Spoiler code thingy so I'm just going to put it in caps SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER (FOR ANY AND ALL EPISODES) I agree completely with your overview of the episode, Marie. I love the Hodgkins/Angela relationship that's developing. They are really cute together. It can't remember the exact quote or epsiode, but I found this to be simply adorable: Angela: What a strange place for two people in love to end up. Hodgkins: In a forensic lab? Aww... I know they are defintly going to drag out Booth/Bones. His feelings for her are VERY obvious, but I am still unsure whether or not Bones feels for him like that as well. I loved when Hodgkins finds out about Booth and Camile sleeping with each other. And when he tells Angela that he knows something, but he doesn't want to tell her until she finds out. Booth was right about her radar. I loved when Camille touches him and he jumps and Angela and Hodgkins looked at each other and Angela's like "Oh..." Ok. The cases themselves are also very interesting. I think there are also more twists in the cases this season then last. My mom and dad both insist that the show isn't that good, but one time my mom came in when I was watching it and she sat and watched the last half hour with me. I said I thought that she didn't like it and she reluctantly admited that it's good. And who couldn't love when David Boreanaz had his shirt off? Someone has been working out... I can't wait until it comes back!

SLIGHT SPOILER Anybody catch the Angel references in the show? Not this week, but last there was talk about a hotel as the scene of the crime. The name of the hotel? The Hyperion Hotel. I think it's getting better and better each week. What did you guys think of this week's show? I thought it was great, though the Booth/Bones interaction overshadowed the case itself a tad. Undercover in Vegas...David in a wife beater..."My man's got a muscles...I should know."

And yay, Tash, for getting it on DVD! I'm glad you're enjoying it. The second season has been wonderful so far as well, so I'm sure you'll enjoy it when you're able to watch it.

Thanks for linking that, Tash. I had heard he kept a blog about the show, but hadn't really checked it out before (maybe once). It was certainly interesting reading and watching everything. And it's good to know that he's behind Booth and Bones hooking up, too. Doesn't mean the writers'll let it happen, but hopefully he'll be able to add some...I don't know, weight?...to the matter.

ooh I hope so because they are so perfect for each other! I thought after 'two bodies in the lab' things might get a bit more heated between them because the episode exposed so much about their characters and how they felt for each other but alas no proper sparkage
oh and also on the site the writers of the episodes do a little 'writers block' bit and explain a little of the thinking bahind the episodes so I found that interesting too

I agree, the rest of the episodes are just as good, so I hope you keep watching!!
I, personally, enjoy CSI. I like "Bones" more, though, and I think the reason is because they don't focus solely on the crime-solving and forensics. They aren't scared to let the characters' lives enter into the story, and that helps us (or at least me) connect with them.

yeh definately, alot of the times some of the characters life experiences totally make an episode. For example I just watched 2:03 and the case involved foster kids, had Brennan not identified so well with these kids I doubt I would have enjoyed the episode as much.
Although I love CSI, the personal aspect is one area it's lacking. sometimes thats good for the show but some times it isn't.

I saw about the first half of the first episode of Bones. It was enjoyable, and the interplay between the leads (David Boreanaz and Zooey Deschanel's sister - what's her name?), but for some reason I never checked back in.

Ah, Emily. That's it, thanks! I don't think Bones has been released on DVD here yet, but I may just have to investigate that, Tash.
