Bones annoys me. She doesn't seem to grow. For someone who has been in the 'real world' for awhile now, it's hard to believe that she doesn't know a lot of the most common things around her.  |

Finale Bones is pregnant with Booth's baby. How that happened I don't know. Apparently something happened offscreen in the previous episode where we are meant to believe that they had a one night stand. Or maybe they have been in a relationship for awhile now but nobody - including the audience - knows about it. Like what they did with Grissom and Sara on CSI. |

Yeah and nothing happened after that. So it doesn't make much sense in my opinion for her to suddenly have a baby with him. I think the only reason why she's pregnant is because ED is pregnant in real life. But surely they've got other ways to cover it! |

Yeah. It wasn't what I expected. I didn't think they would be together as a full on couple! I really can't stand the character of Bones I have to say  Such a pain in the ass. You wouldn't put up with her! |

I like them as a couple, I think it will add a different and good layer to the relationship. I just hope they don't make them break up 50 times. The actual case was pretty boring this week though.

I don't mind them as a couple but I want to watch them date and stuff. I still think it's a bad idea for them to have a baby.
The character of Bones doesn't seem to grow in my opinion. She still seem ignorant and insensitive to a lot of stuff even though she's been around people for awhile now.

That's it exactly Irene. When it started it made sense she was all weird and didn't "get" things. It was part of the appeal of the show, her awkwardness and the fact she sees things differently. She has been very close with them all now for what, 6-7 years? How has she not grown or changed or come to understand these things better? It just seems extremely forced after all this time.

I think she has grown, she just hasn't changed who she is. The pregnancy was written in because the actress was pregnant.

Doesn't matter, in my opinion. Many actress have gotten pregnant but weren't written in their shows. I don't see why this had to be.

They are only not written in when it it decided it can be hidden. Very rarely has a show ever hidden a pregnancy well, usually it is pretty obvious anyway. Can't really stick Bones behind a desk.

I don't believe that.  Big coats, holding files, shots from the chest up, etc...there are many ways to hide it if they try hard enough. Heck, get her kidnapped or something and they won't have to worry about the baby bump. |

I know how they do it, but it always looks obvious. I don't see the problem with it, the stories aren't going to change that much. As with Angela and Hodgins kid the baby is there but not a huge part of the storylines.

It's not the baby I have the problem with. It's just that now they are a couple and we don't get to see them date, etc.
Now, we miss out on the fun of where Booth asked Bones out. Or when Bones finally realised that she's in love with Booth, etc. It feels like we missed out on a whole new chapter on their life and I hate it.

How? They went through the awkward deciding not to date and now they are dating. All they missed was the early stages which wouldn't have shown much as they have been close for so long already. They are still doing all the meaningful relationship parts, the struggles, moving house etc. Bones realised a long time ago she was in love with Booth, she didn't believe it would work out and the baby gave her reason to change her mind.
