I haven't been following the VM news, so I don't know what's happening with it after this season.
Regarding the third season, I don't like it as much as the first two. I think the quality is lower and that what they tried to do with the show to appease new viewers that had never seen it before simply failed and actually caused the show to lose some (though I imagine it's a rather small minority) of it's previously regular viewers to tune out. There are some great episodes in the third season, so you have those to look forward to, but there are also a lot of bombs.
If it comes back for a fourth season, I'd like to see it return to the format it had in the first two seasons, with the season-long mysteries, as I think those worked best compared to this third season, but even if they don't change from the current format they need to seriously review the quality they're giving the audience as it's certainly not top-notch. I would like to see it come back, though, and give a fourth season a shot and see if it can't do better than this third season and return to some of its former glory. It was a great show to begin with and it has a lot of promise and potential, and I'd love it to stay on the screen for a while, so I hope it pulls through for a fourth season.

I'm not going to wait for my local channel to air season 2 cause goodness knows how long it would take for them to do so. Plus, I don't think I can wait to find out what happens to Veronica and Logan (yes! I'm a fan! ;D) And thats the way it should be! Veronica and Logan all the way ;D From what i've seen of Season 3 i haven't loved it as much as 1 and 2 I don't think its just the lack of the season long mystery though. Most of the great characters seems to have been relegated to bit players. And while that is inevitable when the lead character moves on from high school to college its disappointing.

I didn't like season 3 as much as 1 or 2 either. It just didn't have what it used to. It changed and it wasn't a good change, either. When RT took out the big mystery plot lines...that was something that really made the season lose its edge (for me, at least). The season mysteries were so successful before...Why both taking them out? Idiocy, if you ask me.

I'm currently watching season 3 (took me awhile to find the season but I finally did!) and I know there are quite a number of fans who didn't like it very much. I'm halfway through the season and I have to say I enjoy it a lot more than season 2. But I gotta agree that it's a shame that most of the supporting characters just became fillers, like Wallace.

You probably wouldn't like season 2 then, Liz. It's one of the reasons why I didn't.

Logan and Veronica's dance together is the hottest thing all season. And it ends up just fine in the end

The best episode of that season was the finale.

I'm putting this in spoiler in case Liz doesn't want to see it. Veronica and Piz. Yay or Nay? I'm a bit undecided about them. I like Piz but...I don't know. Their relationship seems sudden. In one episode, they agree to be just friends but in the next episode they are so couple-y. Confusing!

I haven't seen the last two seasons so I don't want to comment, but why don't you want to see it? What does everyone else think?

I don't know.
I'm not a fan of TV shows becoming into a movie. It just ruins the magic in my opinion.

I'm not entirely against TV shows moving to the big screen. It worked for Joss Whedon with Serenity. I'm just not sure that Veronica Mars will make the transition well. It worked very well as a serial with weekly installments, and I wonder if moving it to the big screen will leave fans feeling unfulfilled and wanting more, rather than satiated with a good ending to the show, characters, plot lines, etc.

I would reserve my judgment on such a project until i found out if Jason Dohring was involved. I could only handle a Veronica Mars movie if Logan was there too.

Some TV shows work well as a movie, some doesn't. VM comes across as a show that wouldn't work well as a movie. I can't imagine a VM movie to be honest.

I've now got season 2 - OMG. The first episode, totally thought Logan and Veronica (OTP) were still together. Stupid boring Duncan. Glad he's gone.

You weren't the only one, Liz. But it was understandable why she wouldn't be with Logan. Though it wasn't understandable why she would be with Duncan. He makes Riley interesting!

AHAH. That is so true Irene. So glad he's gone (to Australia, WTF?)
Did NOT see that thing about Cassidy coming! I knew he committed suicide, but I didn't know about he other stuff! Kyle Gallner is a good actor.

Australia my ass. Mollymook beach does not contain a lifeguard tower that looks suspiciously like one you would find on Venice Beach That always makes me laugh. They could have tried a little bit harder there! Duncan was dull. Would never choose him over Logan. No matter how mental Logan was.
