Most people seem to watch the Simpsons so I thought a thread on them might actually get some discussion.
Who is everyone's favourite and least favourite character(s) and why? I only put the actual Simpson family on the poll, but obviously you can pick someone else here. My favourite character is probably Homer though. He makes me laugh. Can't stand Marge, she annoys me in most episodes.
What are some favourite episodes? overplayed episodes?

Its Homer for me no question
Other favourites are Chief Wiggum "cuff him boys" I love it when he says that
Mayor Quimby "Rat Milk!!!! You promised me Dog or higher"
Also i love the are they arent they thing between Carl and Lenny lol
Overplayed episodes for me are Camp Krusty and the Monorail
They were on ALL the time.

Yeah those two are overplayed here too. And Lisa becoming a vegetarian, and most of the Halloween ones are overplayed too. They also play the one where Homer gets even more overweight and stays at home to work in his moomoo a lot, but that one never gets old to me  |

I love the moomoo one lol, even though it is on all the time. Having Sky now there seems to be an episode on everyday that i havent seen before

The moomoo is classic! Simpsons is played on free to air every weekday at 6pm, and they tend to play a lot of the same ones over and over  But we get new ones on Tuesday nights. The last one was where Skinner says something sexist about boys being better at maths, then they get a new principal who divides the school in half. Lisa then pretends to be a boy. And beats up Ralph Had some funny moments but wasn't one of the best. Another overplayed one - when Homer is Mayor Quimby's bodyguard. Not as funny when its on too often. |

dont think ive seen the moomoo one, last one i saw was where flanders could see into the future and where they all shrank down and went into mr burns

I remember when i saw that for the first time. I nearly passed out laughing when Homer knocks Quimby out of the window and he thinks he's killed him. He hears a sound and looks out the window seeing Quimby hanging onto a ledge.
Homer "His corpse is climbing the building"
Quimby "Im alive you idiot"
I have just burst into hysterics remembering that

I like when he goes running into the school and stops Bart and Lisa drinking the milk, and then gives it to Milhouse And how he walks through the house doing the 'secret agent' thing and Marge gets annoyed. |

oh the episode when homer turns into a bodygaurd, and the rats milk, yeah i remember that, i only recently saw it for the first time, yeah thats a good one

I've seen it a billion times I think. Marge pisses me off in most episodes. She's such a killjoy! The one where she gets implants makes me laugh. Lisa annoys me a lot too.

Lisa needs to be evicted from the house. I can see why Marge is there just to stop Homer going too far but Lisa is an annoying waste of space.

the worst ever episode i think, is the one written by ricky gervaise from the office it was a wife swap style ep, but i thought it was so dull, and he's supposed to be englands best comedy writer

I havent seen that one, thats a newer one. Lisa whines over everything, but I do like at the end of the "I didn't do it" episode when they are going through the characters catchphrases and she gets huffy and says "I'll be in my room", but thats more laughing at her. When she ruins the BBQ in the Vegetarian episode I just want to slap her. Love how even Marge gangs up against her in some episodes where she's being a pest, Another fave ep of mine is the one where Homer gets an enemy at work, and tries to make him his friend, invites him over for dinner which backfires, and then the guy dies being an idiot cause he's been driven a bit loopy and Homer is still being a shit at his funeral |

I chose Homer, obviously. One of the best creations of all time.
I also love Apu, Ralph, and Ned Flanders. Burns and Smithers are freakin' hilarious. They're my second and third favorite characters.

Burns cracks me up too. Ralph? lol! He annoys me but I do feel sorry for him a lot. And I cant stand Ned Flanders, but he's preferable to his kids. Skinner also makes me laugh but I really don't like Edna Krebaple (sp?) or Marge's sisters.

Yes I love how Ralph is such a loser lol. Same with Flanders I guess. He's just soo dorky and clueless. I love it!
And I only like Marge's sisters at certain times. Mostly they just gross me out.

They gross me out. Though I do love their interactions with Homer. i love the one where Patty comes out as being a lesbian and Homer is like well  , and Marge struggles to cope with it. More Marge annoyingness  Yet when Homer is scared Bart is turning gay in that episode with the deer and the gay guy (cant remember his name) Marge is all "Homer it doesnt matter if he's gay". |

What a hypocrite. One of my favorite lines was when Homer crashes their car into a deer statue, he, Lisa, and Marge say, in sequence, "D'oh!", "A deer!", "A female deer!" Cracks me up everytime. |
