Well i wasnt really happy the way they played Barty Crouch Jnr anyways. And yes i wouldnt be surprised if they did use him as a replacement as ive heard no mention of a lady cast in that role

Well I haven't heard a whole lot about the fifth movie in general. It's all still rather hush hush. But it just won't be the same. Barty Crouch is smarmy and...just ew. Bellatrix has so much more depth as a character and I was really looking forward to seeing her on the screen. That, and I have a feeling that her character is going to get more important in the seventh book, leaving a big hole in the seventh movie if they don't introduce her now. Just like there will be a big hole in the Weasley Twin's exit since there's no Peeves!

"Give em Hell.....er......er.....Neville"
Well he replaced Dobby in the Fourth lol Why not Peeves in the fifth *sigh*
Bellatrix and the veil thing also is a major thing because they are family. If it was Barty Crouch Jnr...i mean what the hell kinda significance would that be?

Oh I completely agree. That, and she's just so much more sinister than Barty, in my opinion. I mean, he's seriously messed up in the head. But Bellatrix...she really seems to enjoy the things she does. It's almost like she's not following Voldemort for the power, or the perks, or even specifically for him....but more because she just likes doing damage.
I find her a lot more intimidating than Barty.
EDIT: I just found out, Bellatrix WILL be in the fifth movie and she's being played by Helena Bonham Carter! She's PERFECT.
And they've also cast young Sirius, James, Lupin, Peter, and Snape, which means they WILL be doing Snape's Worst Memory. SO EXCITED!

I know! She has the best possible look for that role. I keep picturing her as Marla from Fight Club and going "THAT'S FREAKING AWSOME!"

They are complete unknowns as far as I can tell. They all are listed as having this as their only movie on IMDB.com. And I was the same too. In fact, I refused to read them for a long time becaue I like LotR so much and I felt like they were stealing it's thunder, what with the movies coming out at the same time and all and I knew the first few books were indeed geared at children. I felt that Harry Potter was a cop out, and was dumbing down the world of fantasy for kids today. But I saw the first movie because I didn't want to be a hypocrit and not give it the benefit of the doubt. I saw it, I bought all the books, I've been hooked ever since.

Yup. So he's only two years older than he's supposed to be, which isn't that big a deal. He looks young! And I mean...hello...whats his name who plays Clark on Smallville...he was playing a 15 year old at like...28 or something like that. I think they all look fine for the roles. EDIT: I thought you guys would like this. I just got the first picture of Tonks from the new movie. This is her on the set. And if you can't tell, she's the one with purple hair. www.mugglenet.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=1898&pos=1

From what I can see she's a great fit for Tonks! And I am SOOO happy they are doing Snape's worst memory! Only problem is they have said NOTHING about the Marauders at all yet...
And I also don't understand why people are saying the age difference is such a big deal. There really isn't that much of an age difference!
It's hard to keep the movies and books seperate, but I have started to look at it as based on the book, instead of a movie version of the book. Besides, there is only so much they can do. The books are friggin LONG! Movies can only have so much, you have to factor in the amount of money and time they're allowed and not allowed to use. Having close to every part of the books in the movies is ridiculous and unrealistic. We just have to hope that the director chooses well with what he/she will put in the movie.
The only problem I had with the fourth one is that I thought instead of adding scenes that didn't happen in the book they could have used that time to add more that is in the book. Besides that I thought it was great.
I hope the Department of Myseteries is done well in the fifth movie, especially that specific scene and it's aftermath.
EDIT: By the way, I chose Harry as my favorite out of the list. I love him, but my true favorite is Sirius! Then the Weasley twins. Harry actually comes in third...

Well in the fourth, I understand some of the added scenes. Like, at the beginning, with Barty...I get why they did that. They wanted to add that character into our minds without the benefit of house elves, which were not in the budget. I wasn't that upset by the missing house elves as they used that money to make the dragon look freaking fabulous.
I was VERY disappointed that we didn't get to see the Quidditch world cup. I mean, they make a point of telling us Krum is the best seeker in the world, make a big fuss over him, but we don't ever get to see him in action! That was disappointing to me.
After that...well the only specific scenes they didn't use aside from house elves were when Sirius comes to stay in that cave in Hogsmeade. I didn't miss that really except that they cut one of my favorite moments. I love with he's laying on Harry's bed in the hospital wing, refusing to leave, and Madame Pompfrey fussing about dogs and germs. And then the way he changes so Severus can see. I missed that.
And, since Harry didn't give the Weasley twins his winnings..I'm concerned that they might not do the Weasley's Wizard Wheezes storyline in the fifth book...which would be REALLY sad. I really love that sidestory.

The Quidditch games always bore me in the books, so I was glad that was cut out of the movie. Also, it would have been a lot of wasted time because you don't really need to see that.

I guess I'm the only hardcore quidditch fan in the bunch. Guess thats why I'm the one who bothered making the forum version. I dunno, I just think Quidditch deserves its due. I mean...it's so amazingly creative, like nothing else ever done. And the scenes are always so action packed, PARTICULARLY the Quidditch World Cup. And I thought it was a little important seeing Krum play. The fact that he ends the game when he knows they won't win is an important insight into his character in my opinion.

I'm not upset it wasn't in the movie, but it definately could have been an extra on the DVD - the entire game! How cool would that be?
