Harrison Ford returns in his role as the daring Dr. Jones for the new adventure. The film will be produced by Lucasfilm Ltd., directed by Steven Spielberg and released by Paramount Pictures throughout the world on Thursday, May 22, 2008." The first three movies were fantastic - I have the DVD box set, and since it's the same people behind the fourth movie, I'm not opposed to the idea. I'll check it out, and reserve judgement. Apparently Harrison Ford's as old as Sean Connery was when he did Last Crusade!
Of the movies, there's no going past Raiders of the Lost Arc, but Temple of Doom is also fantastic. Last Crusade was my least favourite, for some reason...

i love the indiana jones movies, and i would love to see a new one, i was concerned about harrison ford being too old but at the end of the last crusade he did drink out of the cup, so they could set it in modern day and say that he's slowly aged over the decades, the knight who was guarding the cup aged so that could explain why indy is a lot older, or they could put him in a corset and c.g the wrinkles out of his face

Lol Paul I can't believe this has such few replies! Indiana Jones is great! I'm a little skeptical about a fourth installment. I just don't want it to ruin the series. The current trilogy is brillant and if newcomers go and see the fourth one and it sucks they'll be oppossed to the originals. And you know how a bad movie in a series kind of taints the whole series? I don't want that to happen. It is the same people though so maybe they can pull it off--iffy on George though. He's loosing his touch. His latest movies haven't been all that great--except ROTS! ANYWAY. I love the trilogy. Harrison Ford is amazing. I have a hard time picking a favorite. I like them all. The thing I really like about Last Crusade is you get to see how it all started with young Indy. And, of course, his dad is brought in--their banter is great. However, Elsa is my least favorite Indy girl. Raiders of the Lost Ark I've actually only seen twice in it's entirety--weird, I know. I used to be a Temple of Doom lover, but I think there are a few weak spots. It's still great, but I think the weakest of the three. Gotta love Short Round though--and Willy. I have no idea why I love Willy, you'd think I would think she's annoying, but I love her I also love the guy John Rhys Davies plays--he's in Raiders and Last Crusade--can't remember his name. And Marcus Indiana is great because he's smart, educated, clever, not just muscle. I like that. This is getting kind of long so I'll stop here!

I met John Rhys-Davies last year, a real hoot! And seriously friendly guy, wasn't many people around when we talked to him at the con so we could talk a little while. Really sweet and fun guy So, on to new about the new movie, first picture time! For the first time since 1989, Harrison Ford dons the familiar costume on Thursday, June 21, 2007, as the upcoming Indiana Jones adventure begins production under the direction of Steven Spielberg. The new Indiana Jones movie is set in the 1950s and stars Shia LaBeouf (from Transformers), Cate Blanchett, John Hurt, Ray Winstone and Jim Broadbent. Renowned actor Jim Broadbent (played dad to Renee Zellweger's Bridget Jones) has joined the cast of the latest Indiana Jones film, which began principal photography on Monday, June 18, 2007. Today(read sometime in June) director Steven Spielberg will shout "Action!" marking the return of the character who redefined cinematic action as cameras roll on the first day of principal photography on the new Indiana Jones adventure. Spielberg reunites with executive producer George Lucas and star Harrison Ford to bring the classic hero back to the big screen. It's the trio's first collaboration since the last film in the Indiana Jones series, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Shooting will continue throughout the summer before the film goes into post-production to be ready for its May 22, 2008 release. The new Indiana Jones film is a Lucasfilm Ltd. Production distributed by Paramount Pictures. Frank Marshall returns as producer with Kathleen Kennedy joining Lucas as executive producer. Joining the cast is newcomer Shia LaBeouf, whose perspective on Indiana Jones is a bit unique among his fellow cast members: When Shia grew up, Indy was already a legend. That's about all I could dig up right now.

I still have mixed feelings on this... he's just too old

I agree that he's too old, but it's Indiana Jones. So, I'm hoping the movie rocks, but I am a little skeptical, given his age.

As I've figured it, Indy isn't the main character this time, but his son who's played by Shia.
Personally I think Harrison just passed his "best before" date about 5-6 years ago. Haven't seen much of his movies the past few years and I'm not very sad about that.

I was always fascinated with Indy. Liked all the movies, and i think my favorite one has to be The Last Crusade, and then the 2nd would have to be Kingdom.

I like Raiders and Last Crusade. I wasn't so impressed with Temple of Doom. The new one is just weird with the whole alien angle.
Marion is by far my favorite Jones girl. I always play her in the PS3 game--or one of the characters I created myself.
