The Hills Have Eyes really disturbs me lol. Nothing about that movie was good. The first time i saw The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, it scared the crap out of me. Then the next morning i woke up to a chainsaw noise which was actually just the neighbor weed wacking. It was horrible lol.

Nothing about The Hills Have Eyes was good? I loved that movie, it wasn't a typical horror movie, I got really emotionally invested with the characters, I loved it, it was amazing I don't get scared by movies easily, I was probably disturbed most by House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects, but I love those movies.

Has anyone seen any scary movies lately or got any to add?
I've never actually seen it but Adrien Brody lists Jaws as the scariest movie he saw as a kid.

Paranormal Activity really freaked me out. And since I've watched that I've stayed away from any scary movies so I can sleep at night.

The Exorcist, especially the stairs scene!

It's pretty cheesy, and the sequel is worse. Oh and gory movies scare me. I can't watch them. As well as the Chucky movies and Dead Silence, because I hate most puppets. I can't think why but Event Horizon scared me (years ago) and I haven't watched it since. But I like some Japanese horrors. The Ring was good, as well as The Eye, Dark Water and The Grudge. I'll have to watch The Uninvited (America) because it's a rip-off of A Tale of Two Sisters (japan)

My mom says Jaws is the scariest movie she's ever seen- and it's on the top of most "scariest movies" lists. I've never thought it was that scary.

Jaws is pretty scary when you are a kid who lives in a small coastal town thanks very much I've never seen the sequels but the first one is pretty damn cool for its time. And is something of a big deal in film history seeing as though its seen as the first big "blockbuster" movie ever.

As far as shark movies go, Deep Blue Sea and Red Water were better. I still refuse to go past ankle-deep at the beach.

Yeah right Deep Blue Sea is good for a laugh. Had to look up Red Water because i've never even heard of it.

I threw up while watching Deep Blue Sea! It was because we just had a big dinner before the show and we were sitting quite near the screen. It probably made me feel seasick or something. Wasn't pleasant at all!

With Jaws, I could laugh at the robot shark. The cg in Deep Blue Sea was pretty bad in places but the death of Samuel L Jackson was brilliant lol. LL Cool J, funny as always

Uh huh. It was made in 1975 and was revolutionary for its time as far as special effects and prop work goes. I would hope that by 1999 when Deep Blue Sea was made the effects were a bit further along. But I don't judge or appreciate films based only on the quality of special effects. I tend to look at story, direction, acting etc.

Yeah i'm not a huge fan of sharks. And a lot of that i put down to watching Jaws when i was a kid But i'm not that worried about them really. The ocean is their domain. But i enjoy swimming in it. So if i am the one in a million who get gobbled up then so be it!

Horror movies where animals are the scary things don't really scare me that much. Ghosts and supernatual movies though. Oh and stuff with dolls.

I must admit...I can't really watch any movies with Zombies in them. I am terrified of Zombies. I leave the films feeling like at any minute the government is going to screw up some medical research and BOOM we'll have zombies. And I just can't deal with that because, 9 times out of 10, no one survives those movies, and I just don't know that I could survive it in the real world.
I think it's the whole easiness with which you can die thing that gets me. I mean, in other movies, even if you get beat up a little, you're still fighting. There's still a chance you can survive. In these, you can die before you've even realized the fight had started.

The very end of Blair Witch scared the hell out of me. I should never have watched the 'documentaries' before seeing that movie Samara creeped me out when she came out the TV in the Ring. It freaked me when i was a kid and so did Candyman Oh and i don't know if its scared so much as traumitised but i cannot watch Saving Private Ryan ever again. I tried the other day for the first time since i saw it at the cinema but i just can't do it. I end up a mess And I won't watch anything like Hostel or Saw etc. Humans torturing humans is not something i need to see This is a really old quote But I just have to ask what about Saving Private Ryan traumatizes you??
