Different movies scare different people. Me for instance, I find suspense and thriller movies scary, but gore horror doesn't - it just grosses me out. So what movies scared you? Were you able to watch them again and why did they scare you so much? For me, Arachnophobia - I am terrified of Spiders, and though this is only a PG movie I will NEVER be able to watch it again. There are too many scenes in it that terrified me to mention them all *shudders* The Blob - The scene where this guy/girl (can't remember, also refuse to watch this again) gets sucked down the drain and then their blood all spurts back up! I was scared to go to the toilet and go near a sink after this! I would rush it for a few days there, terrified I was going to get sucked in (And I was about 13/14 so thats really really sad) Exorcist - so many scenes. A little girl possessed like that, far more scary than an actual demon or something. This one however, I will watch again and have seen it more than once.

Rosemarys Baby , It is just so traumatising, the entire layout , the story, the scene at the end with the Crib, *Shivers. Exorcist scares me to , For the same reason, the little girl Posessed! , I dont think I have watched it alone since the first time I saw it (Which was alone )

It takes a lot to scare me, and horror movies don't generally do it. I'd say recently, Children of Men and Pan's Labyrinth did, but more for their visceral takes on human nature... When it's people doing nasty things to each other, I find it way less difficult to suspend disbelief.

Child's Play, because dolls really do scare me. Other than that, I'm with Allan. I want to see Hard Candy, it's seems lie in the darker realms of the human psyche.

There were definitely movies that scared me, but not to the point where I would never watch them again. For example, the Grudge was scary, but I love the movie and I would want to see it again.
The only movies I can think of that scared me into never wanting to see them again are:
Dead Silent- the previews scare me silly, no way I'm seeing that
When a Stranger Calls- oddly enough, this movie really creeped me out. I think it was because it didn't have anything supernatural about it. It was a real life situation that could, in theory, happen. That's what scared me so much.

The Exorcist scares me every time I watch it. The first time I saw Psycho I was scared because with Hitchcock's directing you had no idea what was going to pop up on screen. Silence of the Lambs was creepy too. If I ever see Anthony Hopkins in real life I'm running the other way . Scary man. Nosferatu is eerie - I wouldn't say it's scary but definitely eerie. The movements of the actor is what makes it creepy. I have yet to be scared by a newer horror/thrasher flick. Like Allan the only newer film that scared me was Pan's Labyrinth.

The Grudge scared me so much I cried. What really freaked me out was how the woman like jerked down the scares. Guhhhhh. The first fifteen minutes of Saw freaked me out. When there's a giant pool of blood in the first ten minutes, it's too gory. Mars Attacks used to scare the heck out of me, but that was when I was like 12. I always got freaked out that Mars would actually attack. Plus, I think the guns they used scared me, but I can't quite remember... Scary Movie 3 scared me. The parts with the ring girl just freaked me out! Oh, and The Ring scared me, because Samarra.... guhhhhh. 1/5

The Exorcist. I saw it when I was 13. We watched it in the morning and I was home alone that night. We have old stairs in our house. I had seen the scene when she walks down them.
Oh my god. I could not sleep, so freakin' scared. We had watched The Ring late at night the night before, and that didn't scare me at all. Watching The Exorcist at 10am was so creepy.

The very end of Blair Witch scared the hell out of me. I should never have watched the 'documentaries' before seeing that movie Samara creeped me out when she came out the TV in the Ring. It freaked me when i was a kid and so did Candyman Oh and i don't know if its scared so much as traumitised but i cannot watch Saving Private Ryan ever again. I tried the other day for the first time since i saw it at the cinema but i just can't do it. I end up a mess And I won't watch anything like Hostel or Saw etc. Humans torturing humans is not something i need to see

The Ring scared me for a looooooooooooooooong time. I have some very amusing stories about the week after we saw that move, ask me sometime. Other than that, i have to agree that the last few seconds of Blair Witch were terrifying and made up for the rest of the movie being such crap.
Oh, and Zombie movies. All zombie movies scare the crap out of me. I hate zombies.
In Korea, the term fanservice is used to describe an incident where an attractive female (and occasionally male) show off their panties or other elements in a provocative manner.

So I'm watching "Jaws" right now and it doesn't really scare me. I've seen it on so many top scary movie lists but I've never found it that scary. Am I the only one in the world who isn't that frightened by it? I mean it's a good story, but I don't think it's scary.

I don't watch much horror/scary movies as I'm not a fan of them. All the movies are so much a like nowadays.
But one movie that does scare me is Child's Play. Chucky scared the hell out of me when I first watched it. Stayed away from dolls of all kind after that movie.

I get scared easily, so I tend to avoid horror/scary movies. Psychothrillers have a tendency to freak me out, too, depending on what the story line is and such, although after about a day I get over it. I remember going to see "The Forgotten" in theaters. Brilliant movie, but I went to see it alone, the movie ended after it was already dark and I had to walk a block to my car, I lived alone in a single room at college that year and found it very hard to fall asleep that night. The next day I was able to look back and reflect on the movie as a whole. So, I've learned never to see any movie by myself ever, unles I'm sure it's a fluffy, happy-go-lucky movie.

Pulse scared me. Well, more freaked me out than scared me, but there was still some frightening stuff going on there. And I know some people were scared by The Grudge...but really? It didn't make me jump, at all. There was only one thing that even surprised me.

The US Ring didn't scare me, though the Japanese version did freak me out a bit.
