Simon and Kaylee

Since we have a thread dedicated to one couple in Firefly, I thought we discuss about the other couple in Firefly - Simon and Kaylee.

So who likes them or dislikes them? Do you think they are good together? Are you glad they hooked up (finally!) or would you prefer the writers make them stay apart for a long time like they did with Inara and Mal? Any favourite Simon/Kaylee moments?

I'm a big shipper of Simon and Kaylee and was definitely glad they finally hooked up. I don't think I would have liked it if the writers didn't pair them up. But it's sad that we don't get to see how these two turn out as a couple.

I think these two are good for each other, especially Kaylee for Simon. She would definitely bring some cheer and joy to Simon's very serious character.

I think they're a good couple, too. I'm glad they hooked up at the end and I hated that Mal and Inara didn't. But I understand it wouldn't have fit with the plot, blah.

Mal and Inara couldn't hook up in case Serenity made a lot of money and a sequel was going to be made.

I'm not a big Simon fan, but I thought he worked brilliantly with Kaylee. The two characters are a great take on the "opposites attract" theory, and they really bring out each others sweetness.

i dont think it was a great coupling i never really liked simon but always thought kaylee was great, she coulda done so much better than him

I think the reason that they worked was because they were so different. But you're right, Kaylee could have done better...like me!

I liked them as a couple, mostly because Kaylee liked them and I adore her.

its simon that i wasnt to keen on, but i suppose kaylee could of helped develope his character

Simon is a twat but i did enjoy his relationship with Kaylee. Mostly because he just kept stuffing it up and i found it pretty amusing When River walks past him in The Message and tells him he's a boob its really quite perfect.

I thought that Simon and Kaylee were quite adorable together, even though Simon was really completely oblivious. I think that's part of what made them oh-so-cute.
