Haha i remember getting into several debates because i actually liked Groo. I have no idea why. Not so much his thing with Cordy though, i was glad it prevented Cordy/Angel I also think Gunn's character changed for the worst when he was with Fred. Not in terms of him as a person but the fact his character didnt really do much but swoon over Fred.

Ya, I pretty much agree with Glenn here. Fred and Gunn left me feeling ambivalent. Maybe because the potential relationship between Fred and Wesley got demolished by it. I don't know.
I also liked Gru. And kind of felt bad for him. Don't really get why he was disliked.

I felt bad for Groo, but to me, he was very bland. A stereotype and very little more.

I did like it when Groo became a little sarky though, I love this line:
Groo: "This weapon should serve me better."
Angel: "Ah, a little big for our purpose, don't you think?"
Groo: "I've had no complaints."
Haha.
I did like Groo's emotional honesty with Cordy though. I've never seen a more dignified break up since Wes and Virginia.

I never had a problem with Groo. And i think he was alright with Cordy. She just didn't love him.

I did like Groo with the break-up and how he handled it. That was nicely handled. And he was amusing in some bits with Angel, but as a whole, I just thought he was kind of boring. Perhaps a lot of it comes down to my dislike of most things Pylea.

Groo was on the show for a little while awhile so it's not surprising that he turned out to be boring. He might change our minds if he was on longer. Even with that said, I didn't find Groo boring at all. Sure, he didn't do much but I did like how he interacted with the various characters. He was amusing.

I think we all know that Buffy and Angel used to be my favorite couple. I still love them, but my favorite is definitely Angel and Darla now. Besides the raw chemistry, there is a lot of history between them. They each have a lot of conflicting emotions when it comes to each other too. There was a lot of denial between them, also, especially on Angel's side. He continually denies that he loves her, but it's clear that he does at least on some level. There's so much about the relationship that's interesting and great to watch.
I was never a fan of Angel and Cordelia. I think it was mostly because I loved their relationship as friends and I thought it was unnecessary to make it anything more than that.
I also like Cordelia and Doyle...I have always wished we could have seen that develop more.
