I liked Oz and Willow, because I think the relationship they had was really sweet and they were both each other's first loves. I didn't like Riley and Buffy because they just seemed so awkward together. Lack of chemistry between the actors?

Of course the best couple is Bangel! ;D Their relationship was romantic and the whole can't-be-with-each-other-but-we-still-want-to aspect of the relationship was what appealed to me the most. The second best couple would be Willow and Oz for me because of the reasons stated by Liz.
The only couple I dislike the most is Cangel. Main reason is because I wasn't convinced that they were in love with each other. I wasn't buying the whole friends to lovers thing, especially between the two of them.

DB and SMG had good chemistry. I think that really makes a difference with portraying romances on screen.

That's true. I think most couples in Jossverse had good chemistry with each other. I guess the only coupld without good chemistry is Riley and Buffy but it has never bothered me too much. Their relationship grew on me.

Gotta say I'm still a Spike and Dru fan. They worked so well, especially when they were tormenting each other. And Mal and Inara are a classic pairing, if not technically so. They just play off each other so well. Originally, I wasn't a fan of Buffy and Riley, but they did grow on me eventually. I wasn't a fan of Cordy and Angel, it just seemed out of character to me (though I'm aware a lot of you disagree). And Willow and Tara weren't too great - there were some sweet moments between the two, but it wasn't helped by Tara's blandness.

I'm tired of defending Cordy and Angel but I don't understand how any of you think it was out of character for two maturing characters to gradually fall in love while working so closely for a few years It was the most realistic pairing for me and the one I liked the most. Wesley and Lilah I liked too. Willow and Tara were boring and easily the worst couple to watch.

I just don't care about Cordy and Angel as a couple I definitely cared about Buffy and Angel and Buffy and Spike. Both were intense for very different reasons and both worked well in my opinion. I also loved Mal and Inara. I like their chemistry together. I hate Willow and Tara. So dull. And Fred and Wes irked me greatly. Great love my ass.

I forgot Willow and Tara. They are another couple that I dislike - mostly because I'm not a fan of Tara. I certainly didn't feel sorry when Tara died, I was actually glad. On Firefly, my favourite couple is Simon and Kaylee. Can't say I have a least favourite as there weren't many couples on Firefly.

Willow and Tara is certainly the worst couple in the verse for me. I used to get yelled at a lot for my dislike, people even calling me homophobic I tried to explain that the relationship was boring and that Tara was dull portrayed by someone i found had no comedic timing and was a poor deliverer of good lines. I never got behind Angel/Cordy but i have had debates at length about that one Faves are Buffy and Angel for pure on screen chemistry. Sometimes what they were made to say and do was kinda lame but you could see the passion from the two of them. I also like Spike and Buffy but never felt the same passion. I know there relationship was supposed to be all about passion but i still never felt it as much.

I'm tired of arguing about it myself, which is why I was pretty brief on the subject. I completely forgot about these two. When they first got together, I really didn't like them together (mostly because I loved the idea of Wes and Fred together, I think), but they quickly grew on me, and they were great together. I think it was one of the best developed ships in the Jossverse, especially given the limited time they were together.

I'm with Shaun, I'm all about the Wes/Lilah.
Defied conventions: I liked the concept of tragedy based upon the very elements of their personalities. It started out as self loathing and loneliness but grew into something more and in amongst all of it, Wes did try to save her but essentially, you cannot save someone from themselves but the intention, meant something to her, so it attempt was not in vain afterall.
To me, all the other relationships are ok in that they served their purpose. I enjoyed Ruffy/Spuffy/Bangel equally for different reasons.
I actually kind of liked Tara and Tara and Willow in that respect. I liked the dichotomy in terms of their approach to magic. Willow approached it as a science, knowledge to be obtained, whereas Tara seemed more about balance an respecting that balance. It's very ying yang but it's subtle, (ok boring for some). I love some of the 'headliners' such as Spike, Buffy etc but I enjoyed Tara for different reasons.
Cangel? Great idea, unfortunately, the writers didn't like it and that came out in the execution. But I really relate to the idea.
Not a huge fan of Kennedy and Willow largly because of my raging indifference towards Kennedy which I can't seem to shake.

While it's probably not my absolute favorite relationship (which is likely Angel and Buffy) I to think that Wash and Zoe are often over looked as a very touching and intersting pair. It's such a switch for the women to be the stone-cold warrior and the man to be the warm/light hearted supporter. I think it was mostly low-key but sweet. The worst relationship has got to be Connor and Cordelia. GAh! I wanna gag just thinking about how wrong this is.

It was Conner and Jasmine, not Cordelia. We all thought it was Cordelis so it was gross. Besides Cangel, I wasn't so keen on Fred and Gunn either. Oh and am I the only one who liked Groo and Cordy?

Okay, so it wasn't Cordelia, but it was played out like it was, because we didn't know any better. On rewatching, it's not as gross, but I think it was meant to gove viewers the "oh shit" feeling.
