Well since their isnt a area for 'fray' i tohugh i would post it here, since they are both to do with slayers and that joss created it.
I have just read the 'fray' comics and i thought they were brill, she has this whole vibe about her just like buffy but with a bit more attitude.
when it tells you about how the slayer line ended it didnt tell you in much detail like who was the girl stood their facing all them monster was it buffy, faith Kennedy who knows, i just want Joss tog et some one to write the novel of how it ended how the final battle for 200 hundred years when down.
what dose every one else think, about the comic fray and the book of the final battle?

I've only read a couple of the comics and I thought they we're quite good. I'm not really into comics but I thought it was a good introduction to a new world and a new slayer.
I'm not sure how your supposed to interpet some things within it such as who faced the monster because Joss was writting Fray during season 6 and 7, so I can only presume he meant Buffy or Faith

nope havn't heard anything about it but then again I haven't been looking for news
I hate getting my hopes up about anything Joss related because rumors circulate every week that he's doing something with Buffy or Serenity. I think at the moment he's just consentraiting on Wonder Woman so I'm just happy to focus and wait on that!

There was a huge rumor going around about Joss never doing a spin-off to any shows he's made. But he commented about it and said, once he starts a 'verse in his head ... it's there forever and growing. So I just figure something's gotta happen sometime, otherwise, he'll explode!

I absolutely love Fray. I love her so much, I'm dying my hair to match hers.
I think that the slayer who fought the final battle could have been Buffy, but I like to think it wasn't, particularly after the events of season seven and the activation of all the slayers. I think it could have major repreccussions that could lead to the end we saw, but I would hope that they happened after Buffy's time, let her live out her life and have a happy ending, you know?

I do agree, But when ever has their been a happy ending in the Buffy/verse. I think i would have liked it to have been Buffy and Faith fighting in the final battle let them go down like hero's. But i would have though that may be because no more magic or demons walked on earth after that. That maybe something sucked all supernatural things into a hell dimension or something that way Buffy Faith and other slayers could still have a fighting chance on getting out.
I mean what if that did happened. And the time in the hell imention they were sucked into time traveled uber slow so like a year to them is like 50 years on earth. And what if Buffy and Faith after 4 years of trying to survive the hell dimension and go out and back onto earth.
The two longest living slayers meet the new and in-proved slayer after surviving two hundred earth years in a hell dimension. What if they meet and now Buffy and Faith were back on earth and had to help save the world again.

I read this again over the weekend, and it leaves hints that it was Buffy, but doesn't cement it.
But it was written before Buffy wrapped up, with many, many slayers. Fray neglects to mention this, which means it may no longer be canon; or, preferably, there is a lot more of the story to come about - how the multiple Slayers ended up down to one, what this means for Angel and Spike, etc.
It could be quite an interesting tale.

Quick Fray question - is #8 the last and final Fray chapter? Does anyone know of any confirmations saying that Joss is finished with it or wants to do more?
EDIT: Never mind. I just read about it in BtVS S.8. But I really think he should continue it!

Yeah, it was always designed as an eight issue series. Hopefully we'll see more of her, though.
Oh, and Tales of the Slayers includes a short Fray story.
What did you think of it, Bre?

Ooh yay I'm getting Tales of the Slayers so it should be cool seeing Fray.
I really enjoyed it. I was a little tweaked about some betrayal at the end, but it was good. I love Fray's attitude.

I loved the comic, and the twist.
Don't get Tales of the Slayers based on Fray though, it's only like 8 pages of the whole collection. That said, it is worth reading.

I read the comic recently and was totally wrapped up in it. I don't think I could put it down once it started. There are certainly things that could have been drawn out a bit more--or perhaps make the stuff of a whole new comic--but overall I think it was well done and covered a lot and moved it in a whole new direction without really changing everything Joss had already created.

of course it helps that Joss wrote it but you can certainly see why it took him so long to finish, the intricities of making sure it was something fresh and new but still has the verse feel without encroching on anything firmly established in Buffy have been so difficult but its definately worth it

It really is a great series. Joss may have based it around his regular mythology, but in those eight issues, he really did create a whole new universe.
