Does anyone notice Jossverse language creep into their speech? I've pinched some words from there, and accidently quote it sometimes hehe. And I've even heard Bernie do it!

I say bonage, quite a lot, as in: "Here in lies our bonage"

"Lame much?" "Boring much?" "*insert adjective here* much?" Yeah, I like to do that a lot nowadays.

I do the "much" thing a lot too. And a lot of sarcastic stuff. I catch myself being rather blunt like Anya, too. lol 3/50

Hmm, when I used to hang around with some Firefly nuts, we used gorram a lot.
They were so crazy, they made my brain go hazy! 3/50

I also do the "much" thing too. I love that . I also just quote a lot of witty comebacks to simple sayings. Like: "It's pointless." "It's entirely pointy!" or "I didn't jump to conclusions! I took a step and conclusions were there!"

Oh yeah I've said "bored now" and in my obsessive FF phase "Gorram" was used all the time. Like this: "You gorram good guys!" 39/50

Shiney! I use quite a lot without realising it now, I'll also quote lines. especially if I'm with people that watched buffy just to see if they notice

I say "Shiney", "Bored now" (that usually comes when I get crappy at work), and "gorram" too.
I also ask people what their childhood trauma is, I use Xander's "that's like his/her Kryptonite" (but I think I said that pre-Xander). I also say things like "I'm not much with the...", and stop and think how Joss that sounded.

I was wondering why I rarely use Joss language and it's probably because I watch Angel more than Buffy. Angel's idiom is pretty 'normal' and people such as Wesley would speak as I would anyway.

I am the same Paulo. I don't use any Buffy-isms. I actually hate the way they spoke at times as it made me cringe. That is another advantage Ats has over BtVS. I do quote the show a lot though

I do all those things Allan does, and I also use wiggins a lot and have a habit of saying "thats of the good" instead of just "thats good"

My biggest one is Shiny, but I also use Sitch a lot. But it's just...I dunno...a cadence thing for me. I think one of proudest moments was when this guy I was almost dating stopped me in midsentence and said "You sound like Buffy. I've been trying to put my finger on what it is about the way you talk, and that's it."
I'm going to have to use this quote I saw in Runaways though. "Why is no one being awsomed by me?!?!"

Yeah, it creeps into my speech a lot. "Shiney" and "...much" are particularly used.
I said "insane troll logic" the other day and didn't even notice until after I'd said it. So, it usually slips out quite a bit without much thought.

I say 'bored now' very often and 'I am of the good' and stuff like that. At times I don't even notice how much Buffy slanguage creeps into my everyday conversations. I also say 'Shiny' every once in a while and random stuff from Firefly. It's hard to keep track because I do it without even noticing it!

I use the muchs and bored now a lot... I also tend to flip my sentences around so that they sound more like someone on Buffy would say. I'll quote the shows any chance I get, but that's also true of movies and "Friends".

I find myself using "[insert word here] much" and "Bored now" as well. And if I have the opportunity to quote something from one of the shows, and I actually remember the quote, I will say it.

I find myself recycling Buffy quips when I need to win an argument sometimes. I can't think of a good enough example at the moment, but I'm sure you guys know what I mean. That one comment that just stops an argument flat with it's randomness...buffy had a lot of those.
