Okay, as we're all willing to say, Joss is a God among men; a brilliant writer. But he also surrounded himself with other brilliant writers throughout the verse.
So, of these other writers, who do you particularly love? Why? What are your favourite episodes of theirs?

To be honest I haven't really got one. Most of my fave eps are from a variety of writers. I liked Season 6's 'life' message, I think Marti Noxon was responsible for that. Steven S DeKnight is also responsible for a lot of great eps but to be honest I don't really have a favourite among them.

I really liked Marti Noxon and David Fury. Marti Noxon created good episodes like "Surprise" and "Beauty and the Beats", two episodes with Angel that I loved. I liked David Fury because he also created good episodes like "Primeval", "Crush", and "Showtime." By the way, the Chosen Collection has who wrote and directed each episode, and this is one of the reasons why I know who wrote what. And, of course, each episode has who wrote and directed it  . |

I like Fury because he was in OMWF and Smile Time. He's a double threat! Plus he was a producer on Lost. But none really stick out to me other than Joss.  I mean I could look through all the ep lists and pick out my favorite episodes, but I'm not a bigger fan of one than the other atm. |

Each episode has who wrote and directed it  A lot of people seem to dislike Marti Noxon. I don't have a favourite :dunno: |

Why do people dislike Marti? I quite like her work, and haven't found myself particularly disappointed by any of her stuff.

I don't know, I don't dislike Marti either. But I've noticed a lot of hatred for her among Buffy fans online, mostly among those who hate the direction S6 took :dunno:

Apparently season 6 was based largely on her own personal experiences. So it goes to figure that she would have had a lot of input into the season, so if you don't like it, you don't like her... |

I'm not certain, but from what I gather Joss was working more on FF and Ats during S6 Buffy so Marti had a lot more creative control over the arc, but the main stories were still Joss' ideas so I don't understand the Marti hate for it :dunno:

My understanding is that her stories inspired a lot of it, whether she was directly involved with them or not. Personally, if that's to do with the Marti hate, then I think people are hating her on her life experiences, not her storytelling ability.

Hmm this is difficult. In general, I quite like Marti Noxon and David Fury. I really like most of their episodes. I don't think there are any writers that I violently hate.

I like Jane Espenson - she did Band Candy, Superstar, Conversations with Dead People, Shindig (FF) and a bunch of other eps.
