Am I the only person who geeks out when I see a Jossverse actor or actress appear in a TV series or movie outside of the 'verse?
Granted, SMG is doing a bit of movie work, with Alyson Hannigan and David Boreanaz starring in How I Met Your Mother and Bones respectively, but what about those smaller appearances, or unexpected guest roles on TV?
One such appearance that I found surprising was recently Tom Lenk having a small role in Transformers, even if he was underutilised.
It was great to see Jewel Staite in Wonderfalls for a few episodes, and even her brief appearance in Dead Like Me was fantastic. Apparently she's also had a recurring role in Stargate: Atlantis, even if I don't watch it.
Also, the animated Justice League Unlimited has featured a few of the Jossverse alumni, with Nathan Fillion, Juliet Landau, Gina Torres, Amy Acker, Adam Baldwin and Morena Baccarin all appearing in it.
So, I ask you all, what appearances by Jossverse actors in other TV shows or movies have you enjoyed?

I love Aly Hannigan in HIMYM. It's so funny and she's so funny. I do miss seeing her more serious side though. I always go giggly when I see any Jossverse actor outside of the Jossverse. I only watched Smallville when James Marsters was on it and I only stopped at Heroes when flipping if Forrest (not sure real name) was on.
Can't think of any others right now, though.

Watch Heroes, Bre. And it's Leonard Roberts, and he appears in most episodes. Aly is great in HIMYM, and she's also been in the last couple of episodes of That 70s Show to air here - she was really funny in that, too. As for her serious side, she's indicated that she's more interested in comedy than drama, so I don't know when we'll get to see it again. Alexis Denisof was great in his few episodes of HIMYM as well. Very funny stuff.

I'll watch Heroes when I'm good and ready. I loved the episode that Alexis Denisof appeared on! Definitely very funny stuff. Tom Lenk showed up on an episode, too. And I think I remember seeing him in an episode of House. He's always fun to see on TV. Oh and he was on a commercial for something and it was pretty funny.

Yeah, I remember Tom Lenk in HIMYM. And Adam Busch was fantastic in American Dreamz!

Amber Benson came on one of the episodes of Supernatural's second season. She looked really good (her hair was darker and I think she lost a little weight) and it's probably the only time I've enjoyed her performance. She was a vampire in that episode I think. I like AH in HIMYM. I haven't seen the ep with AD in it yet. Of all, I think I'm enjoying DB's role in Bones the most.

I remember Benson in Supernatural, she was good. Also Amy Acker was in it ( I think ) and I think someone else too.

Of all, I think I'm enjoying DB's role in Bones the most. Considering that he got a lot of criticism while he was on Angel and Buffy, it's good to see him as a star on another show. He does play that part very well, and like Angel, no one else could play that role. I've heard JM will be making guest appearances in Torchwood soon so you can all get squealy about that, lol.

ASH did an episode of Two Guys and a Girl. Fantastic appearance I think I saw that episode. I can't remember. I would like to see NB getting more screentime. Most of the movies or TV shows he was in were flops. I hope he gets something good soon.

Irene - Check out Unholy this fall, loads of NB in it But yeah, he doesn't do alot of screentime, seems he's unfortunitly one of the actors from the show who had his peak on the show. there's always a few of them on every big show. Like they can't live up to their work on the show they were such a hit on. I had forgotten that Tom Lenk was in Transformers so when I went to see with my mom (who's also a big buffy fan) I started hitting her on the arm when I saw him For once he looked really good, the hair was a bit darker and he was all scruffy, kinda cute If you guys watched Two guys and a girl, you can't have missed Nathan Fillion - I loved him on that show

Nathan Fillion was great on that - it's where I first became a fan of his. And I was watching Alias, which I taped last night (they're finally showing season 5 here) and was really pleased to see Amy Acker.

Paul - said rumour is true Allan - I actually didn't remember that that was Nathan, only that I loved his character, until I re-watched the show a year ago Amy is kinda scary in Alias, especially in the very first scene she's in. Channeling the evilness of Illyria much? Gina Torres makes a great role on Alias as well, she's good at being an evil fiend!

Sean Mahr appears in an episode of Ghost Whisperer. I've never seen him in anything before or after Firefly so nice to see him in GH. I came to know Nathan Fillion from Two Guys and a Girl. That show was my favourite comedy after Friends. Not sure whether this was mentioned, AH and Charisma Carpenter also appears in a few eps of Veronica Mars. Oh! Nathan Fillion is in talks to be a series regular in Desperate Housewives next season (I think it's already confirmed). I can't wait for that.

I loved seeing Fillion on LOST. My new favorite show with one of my favorite actors! I was so excited.
And I just read that Amy Acker was in "Catch Me if You Can". I didn't notice that, so I'll have to re-watch it.

What episodes of Lost is he on? I missed a couple from early season 5, so I hope he shows up toward the end of the season.
I never noticed Amy in Catch Me If You Can, but I haven't seen it since before she was in Angel. I'm looking forweard to the rest of her episodes of Alias - I missed last weeks, and think that was her first appearance. She was great in the latest episode - you could tell she's evil, but there wasn't too much Illyria about her. She's a great actress, and deserves far more work than she gets, though.
And speaking of Amy, nobody's mentioned Return to the Batcave - the comedic biopic about the making of the old Batman TV series. It was a small role as Burt Ward's fiance, but it was cool to see her.

There is no season five of Lost, silly. He was Kate's husband in "I Do".
