Has anyone else heard of the auction to have dinner with Joss Whedon? The money goes to charity. I would love to bid but I think the bids are already up to $5000. Anyway there is more info here. So if you could have dinner with Joss what would you talk about?

Hm...I dunno! Probably just random, stupid questions about Firefly and Buffy. I wouldn't pay $5000 though!

I would like to ask him who Buffy is meant to be with - Angel or Spike. And then the rest of the dinner would be me gawking at him. Won't be pretty though.

If I had the cash spare for the dinner and the trip, then I definitely would. It's a great way to raise money for charities.
Me, I'd probably spend the time trying to see what makes him tick, get advice on writing, etc.

I'd probably ask where he'd like the characters to have gone after the shows ended. It would probably be a rather normal conversation after I got over the initial shock of actually eating dinner with him.

meeting Joss Wheadon! who would actually be able to formulate words! I think I'd have to write down questions beforehand and just pass them to him

I would be so nervous. I honestly don't know what I'd ask him. Maybe something about "Goners". I wouldn't want to know anything about future Buffy stuff, nothing specific anyway. It would be very cool, though.

I wouldn't pay money to have dinner with him, but I'd like to pick his brain about where he would have taken Firefly if it continued. Oh and Books story!

So the auction is over - winning bids were $11,000.00, $11,100.00, $10,200.00, $10,410.84 and $9,400.00. That's a lot of money going to charity!

$11,000 to dine with Joss? Wow! I don't think I would have paid that much. A couple of hundred maybe (including airfare and accomdation ) but not 11,000.

See I don't know if I'd pay to have dinner with him. I mean I'd pick up the bill if we had dinner, of course. But it would be so fun.
But hey they raised a lot of money!

If I had that kind of money to spend on it, I would. It's for a good cause, and a little charity goes a long way. And it's dinner with him, which is a cool opportunity to sit, chat, and pick his brains.
Granted, the money it sold for is a little overpriced for what you get, but it's for charity, and it would be a cool experience.
