Which characters on each show do you think had the most interesting back stories? Who's would you like to have known more about? Now the vamps and Anya have obviously lived a lot longer than the others, so take them as the obvious choices. But which one was the most interesting and which of the humans had the most interesting current stories?

I would have liked to have seen more of Anya's backstory. Granted, she's lived a long time, but we didn't get too many glimpses into it.
As for the non-immortals, I'd say Giles had the most interesting one. I would have also liked to have seen his younger days explored further.
To move to Firefly, I really would have loved to have seen more of Book's backstory. There was a lot to be explored there, so much potential.

Giles from Buffy. Book from Firefly. And probably Wesley from Angel. Giles' because he was a total bad ass and it would be nice to see how he grew up. Book because of the little hints that he was somehow apart of Alliance work and he just seems to be pretty wise and we never knew a lot about his history. And Wesley because I'd like to see how he was when he was younger, with his dad and how he became so nerdy.

Giles and Wesley have more interesting backstories because they are older and we didn't watch them grow up seeing their stories.
Any of the characters on Firefly would have interesting backstories, I'd most like to have seen some more of Mal's.

From Buffy, Giles Gunn probably from Angel. And in Firefly, Book/River/Mal/Inara. But of all, I really want to see how Ripper turned into Giles.

Is this the path I chose, or the one chosen for me?

Totally Giles/Ripper and Book. As for who on Angel I think I'd like to have seen more of Lyla's past. or maybe Doyles.

Any other answers to this?
Do you think enough of the characters got decent backstories? Were some unfairly left out? Even a character like Wood's backstory was well fleshed out. Who do you feel didnt get that?

Andrew's backstory would be interesting to see. Him being part of the Trio, how much was that his brother's influence?

Yeah I'd like to see a scene with Andrew, his brother and his parents at the dinner table. But really, other than Book or Mal, I'm content with what has been said. Obviously if Firefly lasted longer we would have found out more about the characters, but I think it's OK not knowing everything. I get enough of that in Lost.

I personally had enough of Andrews back story I liked his character, but I never really found him interesting enough . I would like to see River & Simon's, because I loved the character (Simon) but his backstory wouldn't be to exciting without River . Curious about "An apple a day, keeps the doctor away"? The credit goes to Wales (though it's known as an English adage). The original proverb, printed in 1866, goes: "Eat an apple on going to bed, And you'll keep the doctor from earning his bread."

Can't forget Illyria. Would have been good to see her life as an Old One. Nico isn't Scottish after all. Just a very good actress 5/10
