And you still watched more eps after that? Wow. My first episode was 'Fear, Itself'. So I was a little late to the 'verse, but I loved the episode. It got me hooked because there was comedic moments and scary parts and the characters were great.

I believe the first episode I saw was bits and pieces of season six. I can't remember exactly, so you're not alone, Miss Summers .

The first episode I ever saw was "Graduation Day Pt. 2". I turned the channel on the WB one day and it was on. Looked interesting, so I watched! Even though I was like 7.

of course it was Allan! You might want to read these. RulesThis one in particular If you don't know what spam is, its pointless posts like that one. You've been here long enough to have read the rules, so start paying attention to them.

Mine was 'out of sight out of mind' I liked it but it didn't immediately make me want to watch it every week, then the next episode I caught was 'whats my line' and I was completely and forever hooked!
Buffy was the first show I ever bought the boxed set for as well, mainly because I knew I'd missed all of season 1 but I can definately remember the excitement of getting home and having all these episodes to watch and being blown away by most of season 1. Good memories!

Good memories! This has made me think... Did all of you originally see Buffy on TV, or did some of you catch it on DVD? Also, did you find it on your own, or were you introduced? And one more... Did the Buffy movie inspire you?

I honestly can't remember which was my first ep. But I do know it was some season 1 oe 2 rerun. I was first introduced to the 'verse by my mom. She came home with one of the Buffy books and asked me to give it a try. I wasn't too keen on it though. I knew at that time about the show on TV and one of the channels on cable was showing a rerun of season 1 and 2 so I decided to check it out - just to see if it was good enough to make me want to read the book. I was hooked ever since though I can't, for the life of me, remember what was the ep that I watched.

Did the Buffy movie inspire you? I caught it on FX - not an original airing. I think the show was over by the time I started watching it. Maybe the last season, but I don't remember.

Yes, I watched it off FX also. My sister kinda introduced me, but we mostly just started watching it together. Plus, we didn't see the movie until we saw all the seasons and we mostly made fun of it- 'sept when she was training, that was pretty cool. My sister was so mad she didn't burn down the gym .

I started with WTTH when it originally aired on TV. I missed very few episodes (and most of those I believe were in season 6 when it changed to UPN, which I didn't have at the time).
I had seen the Buffy movie, but I don't remember whether it detracted or inspired me from watching. I had a friend at the time who was very excited about it, so we kind of watched the show together and would come to school the next day dying to talk about it.

My first episode was "Seeing Red". I was like what kind of messed up show is this?! But then I saw "The Zeppo" a while later, then started watching it with Laura. My brother told me it was a cool show, but I never got into it until I started watching it EVERY DAY on FX over the summer with Laura. we didn't see the movie until we saw all the seasons and we mostly made fun of it- 'sept when she was training, that was pretty cool. My sister was so mad she didn't burn down the gym . Yeah I was mad when she didn't burn down the gym! In "Welcome to the Hellmouth", Buffy says she burned down the gym at her old school. I was totally waiting for it in the movie, then it didn't happen! Although, I was already hooked on Buffy by that time sooo it didn't really matter if I liked the movie or not.

Doublemeat Palace. I liked it! I didn't know any better... I went online to find out more and then was like, "well I better start from the beginning!"
