Maybe he was testing her?

I didn't notice that. Whenever I rewatch the show, I usually skip the first season.

Aw I love the first season! And I'm sure that's it Beck.

I skip some episodes but I'd never skip the whole thing, too many great eps. As a a Bangel fan I am surprised Irene you don't watch their big ep!
Do we have a thread for plot holes?

The ones I watch is the Angel ep, Puppet Show and Prophesy Girl. Those are my favourites.

Lol, I recently went back and watched season one, I was surprised cause when I watched it the first time I found some of the episodes a bit scary, not so much anymore. There are some really good episodes though. I tend to skip any really big Buffy/Angel moments as I find them... lacking in Spike-ness.

Plus, it doesn't help that DB's acting was a little dodgy to say the least during that time.

He was definitely channeling creepy, brooder DB. On that not I love Xander in the Pack. If that is still season one. Its been a while its all a bit fuzzy. Plus Willow in the eskimo costume was way too cute. Eskimo!Willow is my favorite Willow.

Yeah, The Pack was in season 1. That episode never sat right with me when I first saw it - mostly because of the fact that the students actually ATE the Principal!

I was never a big fan of that episode, I find it pretty lame

Lol to me it is one of the only episodes that Xander is really hot, and it's probably because he acts like Spike.

Neh...Vamp!Xander was alright.
I'm not a fan of The Pack, either. Like Beck said, it is pretty lame as far as episodes go, even for Season 1. And people being eaten by other people? *shivers!*

Introducing the kids to Buffy. lol @ their little faces when Darla went vamp in the first scene. They all thought Buffy was a vampire so I have had to explain that no she isn't

Please try not to bash Angel/Bangel when they are watching the show. They should make up their minds on their own on whether or not they like Angel/Bangel.

They are too young to care at all about any of the romances

Yeah they will probably go "Ew" at the kissing scenes more than the blood filled ones haha. If i was introducing someone new to Buffy who was a bit sceptic about it i wouldnt just give them season 1 and let them have at it because i dont think they would be excited enough to carry on watching. Tv shows now have such good cinematography etc that Buffy season 1 might seem a bit poor with some of the dodgy effect haha. I would give them some of the top episodes to whet their appetite and then hopefully they would want to watch it from the start haha

It's one of my favorite seasons. It's a shame that it didn't have as many episodes as the latter seasons did to tell the story, but the WB were still testing the waters with this show so I can understand that. Joss and co. were also afraid they might not come back for a second season so the stuff with the Master and the Hellmouth felt incredibly rushed near the end. Favorite moment in Season One?
Buffy: *holds up crossbow* Darla: Ooh, scary. *holds up twin pistols* Scarier.
That gets me every time.

OMG. Pivot is showing Buffy in HD, like real HD and it's like seeing it for the first time. I LOVE it! I hope this means it may come out on BR one of these days.
