I have heard many people before say that they hated Chosen or didn't like it as much as they would have liked, so I'm gonna ask...why? . I loved the episode personally, so I wanted to here some of your reasons (if any) for hating/disliking it...

I didn't like the fact that it was rushed I felt. There was just so much going on that it seemed like we missed alot that we could of had. I personally disliked the Spike/Buffy stuff, I felt it took up to much time when we could have focused on other characters...

Though if they had focussed on other characters wouldnt you have felt that spike/Buffy stuff was overlooked? Personally, I wanted to know what was what with them, was it love, was it only passion, was spike the hero. I think the episodes preceeding chosen were about the other characters, Willow dealing with having a new lover in her life etc; I cant remember the episode fully, but what i remember was that there was still some unexplored plotlines,

I just think we spent the good part of season 6 and 7 on Spike and Buffy, that by the time we got the Chosen I had lost interest and really no longer cared.
I guess I would have liked more Buffy alone, there is no real alone Buffy or just her and Giles. There always seemed to be someone else, a nice Buffy/Giles or even Buffy/Dawn scene would been nice.

Yeah I guess it makes sense, I was always interested in the Spuffy relationship, so I was happy to watch every bit of screen time they had together.
Dont you think the fact that the Spuffy season 6 relationship and season 7 relationship were so different, infact almost completely opposite of each other , it kept fans interested?.
I definetly agree Giles was overlooked, and the Lack of Buffy/Giles scenes is one of my biggest hates about season 7,. Though I enjoyed the final scene they had together in the school, all four of the originals, I thought that was one of the best things about that episode, it didnt really make up for the lack of watcher/slayer.

Well, in a way Buffy was alone. At least I hope she would be after the cookie dough speech . I loved the Spuffy scenes, because it showed how much they had grown and some of it lets us fill in the blanks. I guess if you weren't a Spuffy fan those parts could be seen as useless, though. There weren't many Giles moments I agree, but I absolutely loved when he told her he thought her plan was bloody brilliant. It just seems to show that the fights they had been having are over. The original four scene seemed to do that too- I loved that scene as well.

I liked the episode. I think that season 7 in general was rushed in some storylines. But taking "Chosen" as just one episode, and the series finale, I thought it worked. I thought it was a fitting end to the show. When you look at the season as a whole, though, and the episode as the season finale, the episode does feel rushed, because there are many things brought up in the season that don't really get closed.

When I saw it for the first time and it had just ended I just said "That's it?". It didn't feel like the best of endings on a show, like it missed something or things just got wrapped up baddaboom! But after seeing it a number of times after I'm not as disappointed. I don't know what I expected from the episode the first time or what I thought it lacked but at first glance, didn't live up to whatever I had imagined. These days I'm satisfied with it anyway.. isn't much else I can do about it anyway, now is there? *calls Joss*

I guess I get what you're saying, Dana. I always want more, but it definitely satisfied me. I thought it ended it well. I loved how it ended with Buffy beginning to smile as she realizes she's not the only Chosen One anymore. It's like...she's not alone anymore. I just love that.
By the way, Dana, I love your set!

I don't adore this episode. It's good, but it's not great. I honestly think it could have been better, but I'm not sure how. It's not in my top 10 episodes anyway. The way I feel about Chosen is pretty much the same way I feel about season 7 in general - not bad, but not the best.

Mostly its fine but Buffy's cookie dough speech takes away a lot of enjoyment for me. I love some scenes, others like that one make me cringe. It was so out of place in the finale imo But I will always adore the scene with the core four... the world is doomed.
