Anybody heard of the Buffy reunion (of sorts) at the Media’s 25th annual Paley Television Festival? I have no idea what the Paley Television Festival is all about but it must be something special if it got most of the main cast of Buffy to attend.  All attended except ASH I think. Anyway, there are some pics at the link below (I'm sure more will stream in). It's nice to see them all together again after all these years, especially NB. Looks like Seth Green has aged the best out of the older cast members. Also, when did Michelle die and become a ghost? I mean, i am pale but she makes me look like i have a perfect tan ;D |

I remember I watched a Buffy The Vampire Slayer Movie before, although I don't think it was based on the Buffy The Vampire Slayer TV Show though. I'd love to watch a Buffy The Vampire Slayer Movie that's based on the Buffy The Vampire Slayer TV Show though. Thanks for the information.

I remember the movie was released in 1992, and I don't doubt that it's based on the TV Show at all, it's not that I do, it's just that it shows signs of it's probably not based on the TV Show, it's explained in my Spoiler Alert some of why it's this way. {Spoiler}
In the Movie instead of Giles being the Mentor someone else was for Buffy Summers, and different Characters than the one in the TV Show were featured. I don't doubt that it's based on the TV Show, it's not that I do it's just that there's showing signs of it's probably not based on the TV Show, partially because of it. Maybe Buffy got Amnesia and then in the TV Show had Giles be the new mentor about Slaying Vampires. |

The movie is set before the TV show, and came out before the TV show. Making the show based on the movie, not the other way around. It is the same character, her first watcher died in the movie. Then Buffy moved from LA, where the movie is set, to Sunnydale right before the show kicks off. Her being from LA is even mentioned in the show, several times. As is her old high school and the fact she got kicked out after the gym was attacked by vampires. Giles was not her first watcher. They changed a few things in the show but the show is set after the movie, as a continuation. Same creator, same character, same universe. This is actual fact, not something we all just decided on.

Thanks for the Recap Shaun, I'm definitely going to need to rewatch both the movie and show. Since I forgot the stories since it was somewhere a few years ago in the early 2000's that I watched both and haven't watched either one since then.
