You can have a serious relationship without all the drama. I have two friends who are completely mad for each other and n two years they havent had any big arguements or problems. What he had with Nina was good for him. He wasnt constantly brooding about the ramifications of what it was.

I have to agree with Bre. I think Nina and Angel together was just a boring and convenient relationship. They had no drama- which I think brings passion. Maybe not in Glenn's case, but I think it was the case for Nina and Angel. There was no heat, just little feelings...which sometimes isn't enough.

Why I never responded to this before I'll never know...
I love Buffy and Angel together, despite the angst. I think I've said it before, but Angel was so new to love and I found his reaction to it really endearing. I thought the two were really...dare I say it...cute before Innocence. Plus, Buffy made Angel into someone. True, he progressed further after he left, but without her he would never have started becoming someone. And you don't loose your soul with just anyone. Also, it seems to always come back to Buffy with Angel. He lets others into his heart, but it alwasy comes back to her. And you can't admit that a love lasting through hundreds of years of Hell isn't something strong. Plus, we got to see Angelus and the dynamic between him and Buffy, which I loved
On to Darla. I absolutely love them together. If nothing else there is raw chemistry between them, the best out of any of his relationships (maybe even arguably one of the best in Jossverse) They really, well, connected. I standby the idea that there was something more there when they were soulless than just sex. Not meaniful and hearts and roses, but a twisted sense of caring. Then when she came back human they connected on a whole new level. Angel watching her be turned again had me teary-eyed.
Though Nina and Angel didn't seem to have much of a relationship I think it could have grown into something more. I agree with Glenn, you don't have to have a lot of drama to have a good relationship. It might not be as fun to watch on TV, but still true. I also think she was what he needed at the time. It's been established that Angel does get lonely and with all the stress and crap that he was going through in Season 5 I thought she provided a safe release. Something he needed. Who knows what would have happened if they developed more of a relationship--it might've been great.
Cordelia and Angel...ugh...it just doesn't work for me. I can understand it, but they don't click. I loved their friendship and to ruin that made me really upset. I'm glad in never really happened.
As for Eve...though a few of their interactions before Lindsay were amusing there's really nothing to speak of there.

That's right. I voted for Nina. What? I think it was a real chance for something that wasn't NEARLY as angsty as everything else he's been a part of. I mean, I'd love to him in a relationship that wasn't 90% drama. It definitely had potential, but I really don't think we saw nearly enough shown between them to get my vote.

I voted for Buffy. Bangel They were just soo perfect for each other in the beginning of Buffy. I'm sorry, I'm a hopeless romantic, so I loved Bangel. I would say Darla, because I love Darla, but Angel and her just aren't suited for each other IMO. Angelus and Darla, however, all the way.
