There's one in the Buffy section but not one here Anyways... what episodes do you most dislike to watch? Any you skip? One off the top of my head I can think of is She. What a bollocks episode! I don't like the Gunn centred eps all that much either though I do like Gunn. Oh and The Numero Cinco one in season 5.

Why We Fight. The reason being is because they forget about dealing with the aftermath of Cordy's death and put in it's place a episode that has little value to the character or story arc.

Beck, I completely agree on both She, and Numero Cinco. And sadly, he didn't sing anything along the lines of I am a-singing at the party, I am singing it's my turn to sing at this party, everyone is dancing happy party, but Ramses is not dancing he does not dance at the parties, Ramses' number one he knows the secret of desire, Ramses is the one he puts the people all on fire...

She I agree with but the others, wowsers, I love! Sure Numero Cinco was corney as hell but it was made to be like that and why we fight is a really interesting back story for Angel and Spike.
Other's I don't like all that much Lonely Hearts, Double or Nothing, Couplet

I tend to skip episodes that revolve around Kate, like "Lonely Hearts" and especially "The Prodigal." I hated Kate, so her storyline really bored me.
I also skip "Shiny Happy People" sometimes, because Jasmine also annoys me lol. I also skip Numero Cinco, 'cause that one was just boring.
And I agee with Tash. I enjoyed "Why We Fight."

Lonely Hearts and The Prodigal bug the crap out of me too. And I agree with Beck, Gunn-centric episodes bore me. I like his character, but he just gets boring. I enjoyed She. #shrug#

I suppose She isn't the best is it? I see what people mean about Why We Fight, although I would have preferred more of a 'story arc' ep. Double or Nothing was pretty rubbish in my eyes as there was little development for Gunn. He kind of got away with it. Players (another Gunn centric ep) was actually quite well written although it wasn't because of the Gunn storyline alone (although I liked that Gunn had a little bit of time to see himself out of simply being the muscle which actually is consistent to his development on Season 5 and like consistency) but I enjoyed the parallels with Gunn/Gwen, Wes/ Lilah and Cordy/Conner which interplayed emotional intimacy with physical intimacy. That ep had a lot of depth.
Numero Cinco was another virtual stand alone although there were a few interesting character moments with Angel and Spike. Spike is incorporeal and can hardly affect the world however is more in touch with what's going one around him than the very corporeal Angel who wonders if he actually making a difference in the right way and feels 'disconnected' and also we see Angel's ambivalence from the Shanshu prophecy.
In any respect as far as character is concerned I think it offered more than Why We Fight although most Angel episodes have something to offer in the way of character exploration.

I forgot all about Lonely Hearts actually. That's definitely not the cream of the crop. Shiny Happy People was great IMO.

Yeah, Jasmine kind of let down such an awesome season for me. Season four was so quick paced and full of action and then it just slowed to a grinding halt. Got much better when the gang was on the run from her.

I suppose I'm in the minority again because I liked the Jasmine Eps. If it was just another unambiguous evil then I would have found it boring but I liked how philosophically rich it was. Angel kind of saved the world but the expense would be misery and suffering and death (well the worst kind of death than Jasmine was offering). It also made sense in terms of Angel's belief in prophecy and the PTBs which was already waning.
The scene between Angel and Jasmine was a real battle of ethical views with Angel placing importance on free will and human dignity and Jasmine challenging his views on morality and giving a convincing utilitarian argument. I like ambiguous ending, the sort of ending that leaves you thinking 'Did they win?', the sort that shows Angel not a simple what hat but a champion subscribing to and fighting for a particular moral stance, not simply 'doing the right thing'.
The Conner/Jasmine storyline was about needing to believe the lie and finally 'Killing God' in a crippling yet powerful act. Jasmine's influence represents mankinds religiosity and frightening measures one may take to defend their religion. To be honest, it all worked for me aside from Conner having sex with Jasmine/Cordy, they could used something less icky.

I quite enjoyed the Jasmine arc, because it was different. I loved it's take on free will and world peace, etc.

Plus, the season had been centered around Connor and Angel/Angelus, so it was odd to have such a side track of Jasmine. I agree with Beck, though, I also loved the finale.

I didn't like "I Fall to Pieces" it was really just creepy and weird, IMO. I also didn't like "Smile Time". That was also creepy. "Why We Fight" was also quite random IMO.

Actually, Season 4 centred around Angel and Cordelia and Angel and Connor. The Jasmine arc took the focus off both of these IMO and just made the remainder of season 4 very poor.
