I agree about Lonely Hearts because of the demon which was so gross, but I did love Angel trying to socialize. She I would watch only for Angel dancing--too funny.
I never understand why people dislike Season 5 so much...yes it had it's downfalls, too much Spike, not enough Lorne, but I don't think it was THAT bad. I actually enjoyed it quite a bit.
Can't think of other forgettable episodes right now...I have some Angel watching to do so I'll get back to that.

Quite a number of episodes from season 2 are forgettable for me. Not a huge fan of that season.
Tend to skip She, Lonely Hearts and Conviction.

Yes, I still haven't watched all of Angel. So sue me. I can't afford it! But. Of the episodes I *have* seen, there are only a few that are really memorable. My point is, it seems that Angel episodes on the whole are more forgettable than Buffy. I'm probably wrong and it's hard to judge this without seeing the whole series, but that's my general impression so far.

I'm probably wrong and it's hard to judge this without seeing the whole series, but that's my general impression so far. Yeah, I'd agree with that. Personally, I think Buffy ahs far more forgettable episodes than Angel, though I'd attribute that to teething problems that Angel managed to avoid to a greater degree. That said, the tone of the shows is different, and I think a lot of it comes down to what you relate to more.

I think I just prefer Buffy, and Angel episodes, while still very good, just aren't quite as memorable.

I agree with Liz. I've seen all of both but I seem to forget Angel episodes more often than Buffy ones. Maybe it's just because I've seen the Buffy eps more than the Angel ones.

Angel is superior to Buffy in my eyes. I find hardly any of it forgettable, there are a few eps here and there just like any other series but i felt the seasons were consistently strong. Unlike season 4 of Buffy (to many people) and season 7 that also take a lot of criticism from fans.

I'm with Glenn on this one. Angel was a better show IMO. Buffy was about growing up, while Angel was about living as an adult. It just gets to me more because I'm not a teenager anymore... most of the time.
But, Angel Season 4 and 5 weren't that good IMO and I would take Buffy Season 2 and 3 over them any day.

Angel season 4 is the greatest season of Tv i have ever watched. The reveal of Cordy (we didn't know it wasn't her at the time) as the big bad was truly shocking and amazing. Watching it on Dvd is like watching a very long movie it fits together so well. Hardly any breaks to the flow except the few character episodes.

No, I didn't like it. There were a few good episodes in there, don't get me wrong, but ti lost what I felt made Angel unique. Angel wasn't about the big massive storylines. It was about Angel saving souls and he and his group growing around those actions. Season 4 was one big arc and it lacked the saving souls part of the show. Season 5 was the same.
I just hope Season 6 goes back to those roots and stays away from the big storylines.

At the top of my head- Why We Fight... I didnt get it. I felt there was no purpose in showing it. Apart from seeing Spike with black hair, it was the only thing that intrigued me.

I actually enjoyed "Why We Fight."
I actually find much of season 2 and quite a bit of season 3 as rather forgettable. There are very few from any season that have made a real great impression on me, positive or negative.
I enjoy seasons 1 and 5 a lot. And, while it's my least favorite, I can appreciate season 4. Seasons 2 and 3? Except for the introduction of Fred there's very little I remember about them until I rewatch an episode.

I Fall to Pieces...*shudders* The Tale of Numero Cinco is an episode I haven't ever re-watched. It's boring, IMO.

I like "Why We Fight". "Numero Cinco" had potential to be a great episode, but for some reason, it seemed to miss for me.

I liked "Why We Fight" too, but I didn't think it needed to be shown. It wasn't crucial to the arc, but I still enjoyed it.

The Gunn episodes are pretty forgettable

I actually really liked "That Old Gang Of Mine". I thought it was a smart ep with good character development for Gunn. I liked the whole reverse racism metaphor and I liked the fact that it didn't have a happily ever after ending. Wes' comment at the end was cool and a little shocking but also spot on and I liked Angel's comments.
I liked Season 4 because it was the culmination of so much of what had happened and I liked how the Beast was just the pre show for Jasmine. Unlike Buffy, I like my evil ambiguous where we can also question the heroes.
In any respect...
DOYLE: "You gotta save all the helpless types around here and now you've got to fight the apocalypse as well?"
ANGEL: "It's all the same thing. Fight the good fight - whichever way you can."

I should definitely watch Angel completely again... but I remember I didn't like too much "I Fall to Pieces". I loved "Smile Time" though. Puppet Angel rocks

have any of you re-watched Angel? Still find those same episodes annoying?
I watched the final ep last night. In a way I was disappointed that the show just ended like that, but I also saw it as "the fight between good and evil will never end".
And "SMile Time". Puppet Angel was funny to watch and hearing Angel's voice when he looks like something off Sesame Street with all their squeaky childish voices... but the show just didn't need it.
