I was watching "Tomorrow" last night, and during the scene when Cordy was talking to a lit up verison of herself (and when she discovered her love for Angel), my sister pointed out how lame she thought the scene was. I agreed with her, Cordy could have discovered her love for Angel in a better way imo.
What do you guys think?

That wasn't the way she discovered she loved Angel. She knew she did but couldn't believe it. That vision just confirmed it. Deep down she always knew. Besides, nothing C/A is lame IMO. Tey just rock!!

Well, she discovered that it was true then. Nevertheless, it was an odd way to realize it. And that was a vision?

Yeah i didn't like that scene one bit. Would have been more powerful if she could have come to terms with it without the help of her future self.

Well her visions were of things were about to happen. Yet there were about people in danger. So I actually see it as a warning from the PTBs but maybe Jasmine intercepted the vision.

I hate that scene. With a fiery vengeance. I make fun of it every time it comes on, because I mean come on, "I'm in loveee! With An-gel!" Ugh. Figure it out some other way. 2/5

I never had a problem with it :dunno: I don't see the big deal really.

You don't? Don't you think Cordy should have figured it out herself, instead of realizing it after seeing herself (or a vision, or whatever it was)?
It just seemed so corny imo. Usually one does not see another image of themself that talks to them and helps them discover their love for someone else.

Usually one doesn't have visions of the future either No I don't think there was anything wrong with it. Cordy knew deep down that she loved Angel, she needed a push to admit it aloud. And as it was a vision, it could be concluded that it was from the PTB encouraging Cordy and Angel to hook up Or as Kana said, it was meant to warn her but got messed up somehow (Jasmine perhaps). Why should Cordy have had to figure it out herself? We all discover the depth of our feelings in different ways :dunno:

The thing that really bugs me about that scene is how Cordelia like yells it out. She like "I'm in LOve! With ANgel!" Her inflection just bugs me. I don't know, maybe it's just one of those things that either bugs the heck out of you or doesn't affect you at all.

Yeah, I guess. I don't know, it just got a little weird that she "got" a tip from her vision self. If she knew it deep down inside, then she couldn't she have realized it without another version of herself telling her? And even when the vision told her, she had to stop to make sure "with Angel, right?" Plus, then she just keeps yelling "I'm in love." It was just corny imo. Though, it was pretty funny watching my sister imitate it .

lol thats more to do with Charisma's acting though, than the way it happened No Laura, sometimes people do need outside help to realise how much they care for someone. Look at Angel, others made him realise. Same for Riley with Buffy, his friends knew first and made him realise.

Yeah, I know. But usually you don't need your vision self. I don't know, it was just weird to me . If her vision self told her, couldn't she have just found out herself and saved us that scene? It just seems a little pointless, I guess.

You use usually - come on Laura! Usually most things that happen in the Jossverse wouldn't happen And really, a lot of things do come to people in their dreams, so why not in a 'vision' ? There's not much difference there - its your subconscious telling you something that you've got hidden deep down.

Good point! Well, I guess a dream would have been worse 'cause it would have been too much like "Out of My Mind." But still...

Wouldn't Cordy twig that the visions she gets are of people in danger. I like that scene because it's consistent: she is in danger from beng taken over by Jasmine. I still think Jasmine intercepted the message and changed it and also on some level she's always known she wanted to believe that the vision was a positive thing.
