Set a great precence for crosssovers. Spike unique brand of humour was very welcome in contrast to brooding allure of Angel. We also get an insight into Angel's view on redemption and his exceptional strength of character. Also, Angel getting tortured? Is that mirroring his tortured soul? Very good episode.
9/10

Oh and Oz! Lets not forget Doyle's little bam-bam I loved seeing Oz crossover, and it showed some rare interaction between him and Cordy as well as him and Angel.

Ok then ... moving on to I Fall to Pieces. Ugh. One of my least favourite Angel episodes. I can't really think of anything that I particularly like about this ep A 1/10 from me, I really dislike watching it.

I dislike it too. It's better than the worst Buffy episodes, but not by much. I'll probably give it a 2/10. It's one of - if not the - worst Angel episodes.

I didn't like this episode either. It was disturbing, and just a bad episode overall. I can't think of anything I like about it either . I'd give it a 1/10.

There are a few things I like in an episode. Humour, character arc, continuation of story arc, originality or boldness (Like Season 6 of Buffy, The Body or OMWF), or a fantastic self contained story. This somehow managed to boast none of these qualities. While there was a little dry humour from Angel, there wasn't enough to save the ep.
1/10

It grossed me out. But props to the all-Joss show guy.

I'm not a big fan, either. Besides a few qutes here and there, there is nothing positive to say about it. 1/10

So no one likes that one Moving on to Room With a View. I know a lot of people don't like this one, but I do. I love the scenes with Cordy staying with Angel, his desperation to get rid of her, Doyle's jealousy, Cordy finding her bitch self again. There were some tedious moments, but overall it was an enjoyable episode. And it brought us Dennis! I was disappointed he was featured more later For me, a 7/10

I think what's interesting about this episode is the use of the word 'bitch' as a term of empowerment. Something that was used later on in Season 3's Billy. Cordy development here is interesting because although she's been kidnapped and saved before, she has rarely been depicted as a victim which shows some of the vulnerability we'll see later on.
We also see parallels with Doyle. His vulnerabilty and lack of belief for his own happiness. This is what's interesting. A lot of people talk about how Angel doesn't deserve certain things because of his past either as Angelus or as pre buffy Angel, but this episode shows that hope is important. Cordy was an absolute bitch in High School but that doesn't mean bad things should always happen to her. Angel identifies with Cordy and Doyle and has hope for them to have hope for themselves. This is important and part of Angel's mission. As Wes says later on hope is what sustains you and makes you a better champion because if you have hope you can give hope to others.
Sorry got a bit side tracked there. One complaint I do have is CC's acting. This episode is way too big for her. The main plot is a bit too much of the obvious metaphor for your first apartment. Part of what made Ats stronger as a series for me was the story arc and how it carries through the entire series which explains why Angel has so many cliffhanger endings at the end of the seasons.
Season 1 is still finding it's feet and it shows. While I enjoy the wonderful Doyle moments, it still feels inferior to say Buffy at this stage and I often fnd myself not caring about the episode. Going back to CC's acting, it would be better to hear the bitch is back if I wasn't laughing so hard at her acting. It ruined the moment for me.
I have to be cruel to be kind to later episodes so I'm going to have to give it an overall average 6/10. It's promising and some themes are beginning to come together but Ats Season 1 is still work in progress. When we get onto Hero and IWRY and the Faith eps, then we start cooking. To reiterate: 6/10.

I agree about Charisma's acting in the episode, she shows that she's quite limited. As for the episode, I didn't dislike it. But I didn't love it, though. In the grand scheme of Angel episodes, it's weaker than average.
Cordy finding her inner bitch again was great, and it did have some cool moments. But the episode as a whole just didn't really mesh as well as it should have for me. I'll give it a 5/10.

I liked the episode but CC really did bring it down. There were nice character moments between Cordy and Angel, Cordy and Doyle and most importantly Angel and Doyle. You could really see their bond in this episode, Angel helping Doyle out of his debt and that at the end where Angel asks about his life. It was clear that Doyle hadn't had anyone to confide in for a long while now and Angel was the first person to show any real interest (Cordy was only interested in herself at this point). 6/10 for poor acting

Rm w/a Vu is an okay episode. But only okay. Beth Grant plays the mother and she is always hilarious. In fact, I think she's probably the best thing about the episode. Aside from that...yeah, I agree with you all, CC wasn't that great. The story line is alright, it was written by Jane Espenson who is awesome. This line is a bit cringeworthy though: "Well, get ready to haul your wrinkly translucent ass out of this place, because lady, the bitch is back!" Oh..no. Overall, not a standout episode. 6/10.

I didn't mind the lines, myself. They were quite classic Cordy. I did notice the limited acting, though.

I also enjoyed Room With a View. I loved Cordy finding the bitch within, but I'm also glad it didn't affect her personality for the rest of the season or anything. I never noticed any bad acting or bad lines . I'd give it a 8/10.

So moving on to Sense and Sensitivity. Now I like Kate a lot, but this episode is just... ugh. Not good. Kate and Angel are funny when they are all sappy but its over the top and pretty lame. As is Angel's painbow line a 4.5/10 from me.

Do not be dissing the Painbow line. I still crack up thinking about it, along with his air quotation marks ;DDressing up in Doyle's clothes and hat also had me laughing. Im not usually a big fan of these episodes that mean very little but this has a special place in my heart Seeing some insight into Kate's childhood was nice, though maybe should have been done later after much more hard assed Kate had been on display. Plus we discover that Doyle isnt great at throwing rocks through windows, vital info I think the whole precinct being thrown into chaos and all the weird melodrama from them was a bit much though. 6/10

I don't like Kate, so you can imagine what I thought of this episode, and that is: Too much Kate . I think she's a really boring character, even if she sometimes has her moments. It was funny seeing her and Angel being overly sensitive, but I do not care too much for Kate's drama with her father . 5/10
