We have a thread for posting Buffy Season 8 covers, so why not one for Angel: After the Fall? Covers to #s 1 and #2 are posted below. It looks like they're doing two covers an issue, but unlike Buffy, I believe these are being printed in a 50/50 split, so there's no technical "variant". EDIT - According to the IDW website, the Franco Urru ones are the variants, at 1 for every 4 Tony Harris ones. So it is the same breakdown as Buffy 8Tony Harris cover for #1 (already seen in the After the Fall thread) Franco Urru cover for #1 Tony Harris cover for #2 Franco Urru cover for #2 So, what are people's thoughts? I'm really liking the Tony Harris ones, they seem to be doing for Angel what Jo Chen's do for Buffy. Franco Urru's are okay, though not spectacular (he's also the interior artist for the series).

I hate the top one of Angel - it looks nothing like him, but the rest are pretty cool.

I dislike the First one to, it doesnt really look professional, I am not abig fan of the fourth one either, for the same reasons doesnt look professional enough to me.
I love 2 and 3, Both are excellent, and represent the characters

I think the first and third are the nicest ones, they're all pretty nice though Don't really like the drawing on the second one though./

The first one looks more like Guile from street fighter. The third is brilliant.

Guile from Street Fighter? I quite like the cover, and always thought it was a decent rendition of Angel, but I'll never look at it the same way again, Glenn.

After you mentioned that Glenn, I'm going to have to agree.

Here are the two Issue #3 covers. They look good, but I don't think they look anything like Illyria.

I'm, not a big fan of the first one at all. The second one's okay, but the colouring is off (it is in the first, too).

I don't like either of them. Illyria should look hot. I don't think any of them come close in quality to the Buffy ones

Agreed.
Looking at them again, the first Illyria one is an interesting piece of art. I don't mind it as a fantasy image...except that it just doesn't look like her.

A couple of those made me feel ill (1st Angel and Illyria) they are complete crap! The rest aren't bad I suppose but not entirely accurate

Here's the Franco Urru cover to #4. I haven't seen the other cover yet. Also, the second printing cover for #1: And the third printing cover for #1: So it's nice to see it's selling well. Makes me want to someone.

The other cover to #4, by Andrew Robinson (replacing Tony Harris from #3): Franco Urru's cover to #5 (I'm loving the cover as a homage to a wonderful comic from years back):

The fish guy in the top right corner looks familiar. Though I'm not a fan of either cover, really.

The fish guy's Betta George. If you read Spike: Asylum or Spike: Shadow Puppets, that'd be how you recognise him. I don't mind the first one (it's quite stylised which I think is cool). The expressions in the second one seem off, but as far as it being a homage, it's a nice take on the original. In case anyone's interested, the original one is below.

Of all the covers, the second printing of issue #1 is the best. Looks so much like Angel! Seriously though, I only like the Spike one (the third pic). At least that looks remotely like the Spike in real life.
