What would you want to see?

Book's back story of course. But more interesting to me was Inara's history. There was a lot going on with her i think that we never got the chance to delve into. And of course i wanted her and Mal together.

Ooh, agreed re Inara. One thing that was interesting is how widely accepted her choice of career is. But I did get the impression that at points, she seemed to be lying to herself about it, and I would have loved to see what exactly motivated her to get into that line of work, etc.

Okay, following the trend of remaking cancelled stuff like Cupid, V and The Human Target, comes the latest foray into televisionary resurrection. Fox has realized their mistake when they cancelled Firefly and their remaking it. But they don’t trust Joss Whedon as much as they say they do and he’s kinda busy, so they apparently got Steven Bochco to take the reins and he’s already gone ahead and cast Mark-Paul Gosselaar as Captain Mal Reynolds.

All this according to the Hollywood Reporter, which says—

Ok, I hope this is a joke because I so do not want Firefly to be remade without Fillion as Mal and without Joss. That is just so wrong.

I don't want to see a remake, but even a continuation without the same writer or actors is a bit pointless. Why don't they just start for scratch with an entirely new show, are they that hard up for ideas that they need to steal other people work!

What about a spinoff? That way not all the same characters will be needed to return.

I don't think a spin-off would make much sense, not after the movie. After all they've been through, I really doubt that they'd split up again. They're a team, and always will be! ;D

It's sad, but Firefly has to stay dead. I don't want it to come back and insult the original show.

I would've really liked to see Book's backstory. I would say I want a final fight, but we kinda got that in Serenity. So, yeah, Book.
