According to the New York Times ( full article, though you will need to register if you haven't done so), a deluxe edition of Serenity will be released on DVD. I checked Amazon for more details, but couldn't find any. |

Here's some more information. I might consider getting this, if it was around $25. But I already own Serenity (in a tin from EzyDvd) and it seems a bit silly to own two copies...

Well, I'm a self confessed features whore, so I'm sold. I'm not above buying multiple copies of movies I love for the features. Sadly, there's no news on a local release, so I may end up having to import.  |

I think EzyDvd would probably get it in, but not for quite a while afterwards. Let's hope, anyway.

No. But I will lend it to her.  The thing is, Beck, I'm not convinced that the new version will be better. The features will be different, but I don't think it has everything from the original two disc set (and we already got stuff that they didn't get in the US). That aside, though, I always get suckered in early, too. As for EzyDVD getting it (or anywhere locally), I guess it depends on how well the original version sold.  |

Yeah, I didn't actually feel displeased with the amount of special features we got. It was a decent amount.

Some stuff about Australian fans and the like. Nothing major, but still cool to point and laugh at Americans' inferior product over (often, we lose features you guys get).

It'd be better than the US version, because they only got one disc originally. I was going to import it, but was told that it's basically the same as our original two-disc (though without the Aussie content). I'm not sure if there's anything extra that we didn't get included, though.
But it's being released here in about a month, so it could be worth comparing them.

I really want to buy it! Even though I already have Serenity...Because we also make the mistake of buying them too soon. Maybe I'll convince my mom that we absolutely NEED it. I hope there is extras that we haven't seen included. I love extras. A lot. ;D |

I've seen it around and I'm not sure whether I want to get it. I'm very fussed about buying DVDs so I'm thinking twice about getting this one. Whoever has it, are the features in this DVD great? A must have for a fan? I'll probably get it if it is. Then figure out what to do with my old one. Maybe give it away as a gift or something. |

I picked it up here in Canada even though I already owned a copy of the original release. It did have some extra features that the original release didn't have and they are pretty cool. If your a fan and find it at a half decent price I suggest getting it. It never hurts to send a message that Serenity is still popular either.
