It could be an idea, Paul. It's available as a trade paperback, though the paper size is smaller than the individual issues. That said, the oversized hardcover is due out soon.

I'm not a fan of Those Left Behind. I dunno... Am I missing something? I watched the series, then the comic, and then rewatched the movie and the comic didn't help that much, I kind of regret putting money out to buy it. The art wasn't that amazing and the only thing really worth the money was the Jo Chen drawing of Kaylee.

The comic wasn't anything groundbreaking, but I'd say that it was about equal to a regular episode of the TV series, as far as quality is concerned.

Consider this thread revived, because Serenity: Better Days has finally been solicited for March. The solicitation reads: And the cover: If the cover art looks familiar, it's by Adam Hughes, who did the promo poster/CD cover for "Once More With Feeling".

This should either be on the stands now or on them in the next few days.

It's been out for a week now. I haven't picked my copy up yet, but probably will on Tuesday.

Picked up issues 1 and 2. They're awesome in my humble opionion. Joss does an amazing job of bringing the series to comic format. I also get the impression we can expect to see more limited edition stories in the not too distant future. I highly recommend "Better Days" to any fan of Firefly.

I was a little disappointed by #1, truth be told, but #2 was brilliant. It worked really well, and I especially loved everyone talking about how they'd spend their money. The issue really had some laugh out loud moments, and as a whole, it's feeling like an episode of Firefly.
The letter column to #2 provided a really interesting - and exciting bit of news - they are doing a third miniseries (which will hopefully start before the end of the year, but I wouldn't count on it), which will finally reveal Book's backstory.

I didn't catch that the next series was about Book's backstory. That's awesome. I also loved the groups plans for what to do with the money. Especially Book's joke one.
