While the jokes aren't as funny as Whedon thinks -Yes they are!
...and the action scenes leave a little to be desired -They're awesome!

Not everyone is going to like Serenity. I've seen both good and bad reviews. Most of the bad ones refer to it as being a take off of Star Wars.

Of course there are going to be bad reviews but this one is pretty ridiculous IMO.
That film did not look like a telemovie. The jokes were damn funny. And the action scenes kicked arse - that image of River with the axe is still in my mind a week later.

He's so idiotic! I barely watched any eps of Firefly, and when I did, I wasn't REALLY watching them, and I still understood Serenity. This guy didn't watch the movie....

That's insane. I think that goes beyond any bad review I've ever read--of any movie.
1) Why is he reviewing the movie if he has such a negative opinion of the show? It's obvious he has no respect for or interest in it, and that's clearly bias.
2) At least point out something positive. Every "positive" thing he had to say was quickly covered with a negative one.
3) While I'll admit that the Star Wars analogies are legit--at least with the way he describes the show and movie--that's not the only movie/show that it could be compared to. Try broadening your horizons, bucko!

Granted, it's not a movie that everyone's going to like, but this guy either knows nothing about film, or didn't see the movie. He provides no evidence to support his claims, and for the most part makes no sense...  |
