The biggest rumor I know of is the release date for the book. It's widely agreed that it's probably going to be on 7/7/07, because it would be marketing genius for the book. However, it would completely undermine the fifth movie, coming out on 7/13/07

Its so hard to even discuss rumours as things are kept so close to her chest.
Harry = Horcrux is a major one
All or any members of the trio getting killed in the battle
Dumbledore and/or Sirius are not really dead is a big one.

Dumbledore is dead. Sorry Dumbledore-is-alive optimists, JKR confirmed it. No word on Sirius though.

If Dumbledore truly is dead and JKR isn't just pushing our buttons, then I gotta admit I've lost a bit of respect for her.  For such a great character to die that way doesn't seem right. It's almost as if she didn't respect the character enough to give him something more. I dunno. But maybe he really is dead. BUT he can still come back. Like a phoenix. They burn. They die. They come back. Whatever... i can dream. lol |

For such a great character to die that way doesn't seem right. It's almost as if she didn't respect the character enough to give him something more. I dunno. But maybe he really is dead. BUT he can still come back. Like a phoenix. They burn. They die. They come back. Whatever... i can dream. lol
