Okay then, I'm idiot . I can't believe I didn't know. I guess they don't care about how close the movie and book are

Shauns a Hero! I love those covers, the first one definatly indulges the more child like aspect of Harry Potter imo. The second one intrigues me, its dark and alluring. Very nice. I hope I can find the second one.

As much as i think the second cover in Shaun's post blows all else out of the water, i will have to get the first one just so it goes with the set. I bought the first four books in a set for £10 before the release of OotP. Would be strange not getting them all.

Yeah i love the black one. But like you Glenn all mine are like the first one and i need things to match where possible. The picture on the colour version looks a little bizarre though

Its far too colourful. I imagine this book is going to be dark and scary like the last and I'm not sure orange and red is the way to go. Looks more like a Terry Pratchett book

I'd seen the american cover but not the other two - which look like the covers of the adult and childrens editions we get here. All mine are the colourful ones so I will be getting the bubble-gum looking far-too-happy cover. Love the dark one though. Preeeeeeeeetty. But the adult covers to the last two books weren't released until a few weeks after the colourful ones and I wouldn't wait anyway Cheers for posting those

God bless America. I think the covers we have over here are pretty schnazzy.

The American ones are ok. But come on. The one with the Locket on kicks ass.

I like the second one the best. The American one is boring.

Boring my ass...that's only the front--we don'tknow what's on the back. And yeah the locket is pretty, but that cover isn't full of excitement either Lol--I sound like I've taken offense or something...

I'll admit that previous ones are better, but I still like it better because the font and art is unique

I don't think the American cover looks very interesting to be honest. I looked up the other covers and don't think they are very interesting either The Black ones are the adult ones, and imo are a lot nicer looking than both the UK/AUS kids cover and the US one. That UK/AUS cover kids one I am not thrilled about, but usually the other ones look ok :dunno: And they are eye catching, whereas the american one... yeah I'm going to have to go with boring

You guys are crazy! I love the american ones and think the locket cover is boring. Particularly since it looks nothing like the way Slytherin's locket is described other than having an S on the front. I like the American ones because they are pretty. At least they have been since Order of the Phoenix. And they always have to do with the book in one way or another, though you may not know what till the very end.

I usually do love the American covers. But this one really disappointed me.

I think the problem is that we have no idea what it's in reference to. Plus, there are some BIG things that we KNOW are going to happen in this book, which is something we've never had before. So it was probably harder to come up with a cover in line with the rest that didn't give anything away.
I mean, we didn't know what the deal was with the blue cover for Phoenix until after we'd read it. Same goes for HBP. They usually don't make sense till we get to the part they reference.
