But its just a drawn picture of Harry :dunno: The locket I think with the black just looks nice, it may be simple but imo looks elegant and pretty. As do all the black adult ones.

Except it's not. Look at the details, the wood in the corner, the structure behind him, the sky, the robe, the way his hand is pointing towards the sky--they don't seem like much now, but as Skitty said they'll probably all mean something. And having Harry be the centerpiece could mean something for his character development. I know that seems like a stretch, but if you compare covers of the other books to their stories you'll see what I mean. That's what I like about the American covers, they really focus on the story. And the font and art is unique
The adult cover with the locket is nice and I agree elegant looking, but I don't think it's anything special. It just looks like a picture...

Harry is at the centre because its his book lol. Its all about him really.

I don't want to debate this its down to personal taste :dunno: I personally don't think the American cover looks very interesting, if I knew nothing about Harry Potter it wouldn't grab me, I would just pass it over. The Black one would grab my interest. Actually the kids UK one would too, though not necessarily for the right reasons
