So, am I the only Halo addict on here?

For anyone who enjoys the games, I downloaded the multiplayer beta when it was available, and it was absolutely fantastic. I'm looking forward to the "real" release.

My little brother is a big fan. His friends (usually about 10 or so) bring their Xboxes over, and set up TVs and play. Wow, fun.

[Allan]

It's a great game, Liz. And multiplayer is awesome - and often funny. Like driving a jeep toward a group of enemies, jumping off, sticking a couple of grenades to it, and letting it blow them all up.

There's nothing quite like it.

I love Halo and Halo 2. Halo 2 more, obviously. I love playing multiplayer and sticking people with plasma grenades

I've played it and I'm absolutely shite. Perhaps I just need more practice!

[Allan]

Yeah, that could be it, Liz. If you're not used to first person shooters on consoles, they do take a bit of practice.

[Lizzie]

I remember playing Golden Eye on the N64...but I was terrible at that too.

[Allan]

But that was a fantastic game for its time, though. Still, similar control systems, given the difference in controllers.

[Allan]

I have my preorder in for Halo 3 (the "Legenday Edition", which comes with a making of DVD and a helmet replica. I'm toying with the idea of taking some time off work to play it.

ive never played halo, actually never owned an xbox, but first person shooters arnt quite my thing, i prefer r.p.g's

[Allan]

That's the thing about the Halo games. If you're not a first person shooter fan, they won't convert you, but if you are, you'll love them.

Ok I realise that I may be the only person left on here that still plays the Xbox and I feel so juvenile when I do, but my partner and I are obsessed with Halo 3 multiplayer at the moment and we have to outdo each other on ranks... Anyone else have this addiction? lol

I tried playing Halo Reach but could never quite get into it. FPS games aren't my forte, except for a few exceptions.
