Because we have a thread on Mario, and anyone with any taste whatsoever knows that Sonic kicks Mario's arse. So, what's your favourite Sonic game?

I enjoyed the games. I only played some at my friend's house though because we were a Mario family. Super Sonic! Wah!

I use to be a huge fan of this game when I was younger (and back when Sega was around ). My bro and I played it almost every day. I can't remember which were the games we played, it was such a long time ago. Don't play it anymore though.

Super Sonic's awesome. There's something about once he turns yellow just being simply awesome.
The Sonic games still haven't managed to recapture their former glory, though. But the old ones are such classics. I have the Mega Collection (all the Megadrive ones) on Xbox. ;D

I love the first sonic I used to play it all the time as a kid and I think we eventually completed it, I wouldn't stand a chance now without spending hours practicing

Actually, it's funny, Tash - When I got the Mega Collection on the Xbox, I hadn't played the old Sonic games for years - but I remembered each level on every one of them perfectly. Quite scary, really.

Yeah, Bernie mentioned that to me. I wasn't hugely impressed with the new one on 360, but a lot of people seem to love it. I should give it more of a chance.

Sonic 2 was my favorite, by far I just played and beat it again a couple of weeks ago or so. I don't recall ever beating the first one. I think it was too hard, lol. Spin ball is another of my favorites! Sometime last year I used some Wii points and got it on the virtual console. I played it a few months ago, and beat it for the first time! A funny thing happened after that, though. I tried playing it again, and when I got to the second boss, I couldn't destroy it! There are these little heads that you have to hit, but Sonic would just go straight through them! Needless to say, I was NOT happy about this glitch, or whatever you want to call it. But, recently I played it again, and the glitch is now gone! I'm assuming it was a problem on Nintendo's end, but at least I can beat the game again

I don't know which Sonic it was, but when I was younger we had a Sonic game on our computer. I loved that game! I don't know what became of it when we got rid of that particular computer. The software is probably still around the house somewhere, but it certainly wouldn't work on any of the new machines. I haven't played a Sonic game since then. Am afraid nothing will live up to the memories.

Does this game still exists? Mario is still popular and getting revamped up for the newer game consoles so I wonder why they aren't doing the same for Sonic. Or maybe they have and I don't know about it.

Yep! I have a Sonic game for the Wii (got it for free with Beatles Rockband ). It's called "Sonic and the Secret Rings". It's mindless fun. It's got an Arabian Nights thing going for it. I'm sure there are other Sonic games too.

I was introduced to Sonic through the third game and got to play the other games later through the Sega Genesis Collection release. My favorite of the games so far are Sonic 2 and Sonic Adventure. Assuming I'm remembering Sonic Adventure correctly.
