Played for a little bit yesterday (it's hard sitting down atm). It's quite different! Love the graphics. I will try to get a screenshot from the PC - my Sim is so pretty! Love how you can customize everything.

I don't like how you can only have one outfit and there are hardly any hairstyles and outfits to choose from. Meh.

I read a rumour that the first expansion pack might be out by the end of the year - according to a French gaming site, a title was found which when translated to English reads The Sims 3: Destination Aventure.

Guessing it'd be just like Vacation/Bon Voyage. I want Seasons!

I've been a member of the "simming" community for awhile now, though I hardly play the game itself. I have all of The Sims 2 expansion packs, plus The Sims 3 & World Adventures. I don't have the latest stuff pack released... High-End Loft Stuff. Dunno if I'll get it or not. Like I said, I hardly play the game. It's time consuming, I played a few weeks for several hours. That's the problem: to have any true fun with it you have to play for several hours. I always feel guilty for playing the game when I have other stuff to do. Yet, I lurk forums for hours...

@beck: You can have more than one outfit, just go to the dresser and change your clothes (for The Sims 3). In The Sims 2 you have to go shopping. I don't know about The Sims 1, I only played that on PS2.

I feel the same way. I've played The Sims since it first came out in 2000, but I haven't played TS3 in months - I just have so much to do, and not enough time! Maybe I'll re-install in the holidays...

I have started playing it again. I don't enjoy it as much as I enjoyed Sims 2 but it is still fun. I do like World Adventures and searching through pyramids and tombs, that is cool.

I was thinking bout buying this but was wondering if it is still worth the $69 they are asking for it?

I play it on and off, depends how much you think you would.

I think thats the thing, coz once I buy Sims 3 then I will have to have all the expansion packs and I will probably never play all of them....Will have to see if I can layby them all, then I will be able to afford it, lol

Definitely for $60. I think I paid over $100

I've played The Sims and The Sims Busting Out on the GameCube. I never got around to playing any of the games on the PC, though.
