Backing up PMs

Mods, I apologize if this is in the wrong section, I didn't know where to put it. Feel free to move it or delete it if you need to.

Has anyone ever tried to back up his/her PMs ? I tried, and got a page that said that I would have received a PM (generated by the server) with the link to download the backup as soon as it was ready (it said it should have ben in about 2 minutes...). The problem is, that PM never came... and as far as I know the backup was never completed... and I cannot use the same function again until 30 days later after the attempt to back them up... Can anyone help ? Thanks

Couldn't you just copy-paste into a word doc?

Aye, depending on how many PM's you want to save, (could be incredibly time consuming) copy-paste is the only way to do it.

Beck is that a server problem or something else? I saw another post about it to.

I actually do get the link sent to me, but it goes to a 404 page.

Awww Thanks for the info girls... unfortunately, it will take me forever to copy & paste manually... oh well, I'll just have to do it very very slowly.

The problem with losing PMs has been fixed though so there isn't really a need to back them up anymore

The PM is just instructing you to go to the PM backup page again, that link does not work but going back into your PMs and clicking "Backup Personal Messages" again should take you to where you can download the file. Then you need to extract it and your PMs are saved on your computer. Works fine

Vyse if you don't have the PM and you can't click on that page and have it again then you'll just have to try it next month, because it should work.
