I'm definatly not a Harry Potter fan and found this movie a little boring. Not enough happend for a 3hr film........ [waiting for the mud to come flying] Maybe I should actually get round to reading the books Have you read the books though Tash? I know I haven't and pretty much said the same as you, not enough happened  |

I agree, I doubt any of the movies would be half as good without having read the books

Agreed. What i don't get is all these people who blather on about loving the movies and then go, "Oh i don't want to read the books, not that interested". WTF?  |

Yeh that makes no sense Loz! surely if they liked the movie the book would be even better.
Xander has all the books but I've never actually read them myself. I was reading the 1st book to him but we got a couple of chapters in and got distracted but another book. He likes the films though
Can't say any of the films have encouraged me enough to read them though, unlike 'I am Legend' and 'Inkheart' which are both great books and great films no matter which order you read/ watch them in

Stevens mum has all of the books and said when I want to read them I am free to borrow them, how long is the first book? (Well, how long did it take you all to read it?) I actually read one a long time ago, or started at least. The ending from the last movie made me more interested to read the books though. I love anything that is other worldly, and not your typical day to day stuff perhaps I will start reading them maybe I will like the movies better . |

I can read the first one in a night, it's the shortest of the 7. Page count for the UK version is 223 and 309 for the US (bigger font, I think.)

I read the first book in a day, too. It's such an easy read and very fast-paced. It's not that long of a book. You should definitely read it. You will enjoy the films a lot more, I think.
