Does anyone else enjoy Fringe?
I really like it. I had been concerned about it at first, but I think it's good. It's got some X-Files in it without the addition of aliens. I love the use of Walter. I'll be really upset if they at some point decide to have him be sane. It will mess up the character. I love Peter too. Speaking of, Joshua Jackson definitely matured into someone who is very hot!
What do you guys think of it?

I love it. I don't think Walter can ever be fully sane again, so he should remain entertaining. Last night was one of the best episodes I think. And yes, Joshua Jackson is definitely yummy.

That's sad... I loved last night's episode. Episode 9: It had me hooked from the very beginning. I mean, come on, death by butterflies? How great was that? The explanation about a hypnosis so deep that the person under makes the physical effects become a reality was insane, but really interesting. I was thinking about something while I was watching it. I think a lot of people were worried Fringe would be too much like X-Files, but I don't really see any similarities besides strange cases and conspiracy. Fringe deals with fringe science and offers scientific, although strange and shocking and pretty much "out there," explanations for the cases. X-Files deals in the supernatural most of the time. The characters are vastly different. The conspiracy in X-Files is based around aliens. There is no mention of aliens AT ALL in Fringe. It's not even a show that has two partners solving the cases. I think people who disliked X-Files can still enjoy Fringe.

I have always had a minute fear of butterflies and last night's episode just confirmed my belief that they are evil. And did anyone else catch the Oceanic airplane ticket they found? Gotta love the easter eggs. I enjoyed X-Files and Fringe, but I agree with you Lexie, that they are pretty different. The dialogue is much different as well. I can see someone who might not have liked the X-Files enjoying Fringe.

I love Walter, too! Especially in this last episode when he was dancing. I really liked the end of this episode, too. The boy seeing the other bald guy. They are totally connected.

I just love the little tangents he goes on. After having a case explained which was particularly nasty, his reaction "do you have any mints?" lol

Anybody watch the finale? Yay for Leonard Nimoy as William Bell! I really enjoyed the first season. I can't imagine why it wouldn't be renewed so I'm very excited for the next season!

Just your average Josh wittiness, which is always nice, nothing more than that though this season.

It's coming to NZ in a couple of weeks time. I haven't really heard much about it so I don't know whether it's worth catching.
Is it very much like Lost?

No I don't think it's anything like Lost. But it is really good. The characters are interesting and it's a good premise. It's worth at least trying it out.
