I have one and I play a little bit of everything, its neat because I can use its built in wifi to play my brother at games even though he is in Scotland!.
My favourite games are Professor Layton (puzzle type game where you solve puzzles/riddles). Animal crossing, like a simulation game where you build up your house and stuff. I like those brain age games also.
Ds is a great way to pass the time, Steven is always playing Galaga and space raiders on mine.

When you get a game that uses wifi I think you just make the selection and it does it all for you, its like the Wii, you get a friend code I will put mine on and try remember how to do it . What kind of Nintendo games do you like Beck? www.nintendowifi.com/

You should try the Lego games Beck, Lego Indiana Jones is my favourite. They have a lego star wars to, complete trilogy but it is buggy as hell expect to glitch into walls. Indiana Jones Lego is awesome! you play threw all the movies except in Lego hehe.
Edit: There is a lego batman also, I didn't like that as much but I am not a Batman fan, I am just an Indy fan.

We have Lego Star Wars on the PS3 and it is fun. Might get one of the others on the DS.

I just bought a game called Scribblenauts, you type in anything and it appears in the game. I already had God fight a Vampire wearing high heels in a helicopter, the kids would enjoy it, you have to solve puzzles by typing in (or writing) the item, ofcourse to get a cat down from a tree you could use alot of items. Throwing apples worked well .

I usually play it for about 30 minutes straight and then get bored. Beck since you have kids I bet you will get a lot more enjoyment out of it ! For me it got to a point there was nothing left to try out. (Although making a Vampire and then a slayer is still funny )

Scibblenauts is ok but I never got to into it. I've been playing that Professor Layton game, it is quite addictive I finished a game called Hotel Dusk: Room 215, which I really enjoyed.

Yeah, Scribblenauts is neat but won't entertain you for long!. I love the Layton games, the puzzles are great and get quite tricky at times! Haven't played Hotel Dusk what is it like? I like games where I have to find hidden clues etc;!

Scribblenauts isn't that awesome. I got bored just listening to my sister's ex-husband describe it to me. I have a soccer game and then a couple mystery/hidden object/puzzle games for mine. I only try to buy a new one once I've finished one that I can sell back, because I can hardly afford the games--even though I buy them used. I don't play it very often, either. Might try taking it to work with me this fall and playing it at lunch. It would certainly make the day more enjoyable. ETA that I forgot to write that I'd also like to hear about that hotel game, Beck. I'm always looking for suggestions of games to put on my want list.

Hotel Dusk was worth playing. I was disappointed that I couldn't find any other games just like it, and the sequel apparently sucks I like the hidden object mystery ones, I finished a James Pattenson Murder Club one pretty fast

I'm the same I love Hidden Object Mystery Games and I have found a website online where you download a game and you get free play for an hour and I swear I have downloaded about 150 games to trial over the period of a year. So I am going to get some for my DS, this is of course when John doesn't steal it to play Sudoku on. I think Brain Training has been in there the longest because we are having a competition to see who can finish all the Sudoku's. I also have Guitar Hero for it as well but it hurts my wrist and fingers if I play for too long.

I got one specifically so I could play Phoenix Wright and I don't regret spending a dime. I only have the first two Phoenix Wright games, though. At some point I plan to purchase the others.
