I'll go see it because I loved the books (except the ending but we won't discuss that!) But I have heard they change a lot in the movie from the books

I never finished the series (I don't think ... ), but I heard the changed a lot too. Is that how you pictured Crepsley, Beck?

Eh, no. Not at all. I'll probably re-read them before the movie comes out but I wonder how many of the books they will cram into the one movie. No more than the first 3 I hope They were written as 3 mini-trilogies.

I've never heard of this (books and movie) but the trailer looks interesting. Are the books good? Are they for adults or teens?

They are written for teens I suppose but they are for both.

Ah ok. I might check it out. Once exams are over I need books to read!

There are 12 books, Cirque du Freak is the first one. The second is The Vampire's Assistant so I am thinking the first two at least are merged into the movie. Look for Darran Shan books.

Yeah I read somewhere they merged a couple of the books together into the film. We'll see if that was a wise choice...

I saw the movie, IMO it was awesome a bit cheesy but good none the less. What's funny is it was rated PG13, the word B.S. was used twice I do believe or maybe more then twice I don't know but yeah.

I'm sure the violence probably helped boost it to a PG13. But now I'll probably see it if you say it was good.

I finally saw this last night. I thought it was alright. Some parts bothered me, like Darren being 16 instead of 12. Mostly I enjoyed it and tried not to compare it to the books. Probably a good thing it has been so long since I read them honestly. I liked the Cirque characters, I wonder if they will make another since the ending was left so open. My main problem with it is that nothing really seemed to happen! Yes there was the big fight but it was too much of a "series" movie than a stand alone one imo

I want to see it, but I'm a bit worried because I really liked the books and the trailer looks nothing like how I remembered. John C. Reilly should not be Crepsley.

I didn't mind him in it, but you will need to separate it from the books or you won't enjoy it. Madame Octa was cool.

I saw this movie. I didn't like it at all. I thought it was very boring.

Rented this from the Library, and watched it with my dad, We both liked it, i did not know there was books based on them, till i started seeing then go through the library.

I'm watching it right now. Darren Shaaaayn. I always pronounced it Darren Shaahn. Jeez.

It was pretty decent. I don't remember much of the book at all, so that probably helped. And actually John C Reilly was a lot better than I thought he would be.

Are they making more?

I hope so.

I haven't heard anything about more but it was left open to it so I hope so too. I didn't find it as great as the books but I'd watch a sequel.
