New ones can be. But there are always deals around these days I find. Sometimes in random places. Will be getting the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows PI triple pack (BR, DVD and Digital Copy) next week. Will be about $50 but will be totally worth it  |

There is a big difference on good, large TV's with decent sound. I don't bother getting a BR version of something like Its Complicated for example. There is no need for that extra level on a romantic comedy or stately drama etc. But for an action movie, cartoon or something with particularly striking cinematography its a must.

I saw the difference when I watched my brothers Firefly BluRay . I really want to try BR dvds on our new tv!
Last dvd we bought was Star Trek & couple for Emily (the wizard of oz in vegetable form & a sleepytime dvd) .

Well I got the Blu-Ray/DVD combo of Burlesque from Amazon to see if it plays in my BR and success  My poor mailman now that I can get BR from the US! Also got Easy A, Life as we know it and The King's Speech. Hopefully get a chance to watch a few things sometime soon. |
