Australians make some awesome movies.
I particularly like The Castle.
Muriel's Wedding
Anything by Baz Luhrmann.

The Castle is brilliant I love it. Anything by Baz is great too. Even his Chanel No.5 commercial is gold Off the top of my head i also really like Looking for Alibrandi, Crocodile Dundee 1 & 2 , Romper Stomper and Two Hands. There is heaps more though.

Croc Dundee and Pricilla are awesome, so is Strictly Ballroom and Baz' other films. I'm not sure that R&J and Moulin Rouge are really Australian films though, just with an Aus director. I thought Looking For Alibrandi was good also but it has been awhile. Muriel's Wedding annoys me and I don't like The Castle.

MR was made in Australia (shot at FOX Studios) with majority Australian funding. Had an Aussie director, crew, star and a majority of the cast were Australians. Can get anymore Aussie than that

Isn't it hilarious? I think The Castle is the funniest movie in the world.

I think its up there for sure (along with Wayne's World, Dumb and Dumber, Mallrats and There's Something About Mary). I remember seeing it at the movies with my mate Cindy. We were hysterical. Especially during the carp fishing scene And "Dad, i dug another hole... Its filling with water" and of course Dennis and his photocopier

I didn't go much on The Castle, Muriels Wedding was ok. Loved Strictly Ballroom. Romeo and Juliet I love love. Can't make up my mind about Moulin Rouge. It was good but I didn't love it. Haven't seen Priscilla. Oh and Rogue was awesome (and also had the eye candy Sam Worthington lol). Umm.... The Nugget, good stuff.

The Castle, Wog Boy and The Nugget hilarious. Muriels Wedding terrible. Lantana good. Loved Samson and Delilah and Rabbit-Proof Fence. Happy Feet ;D Lots good Aussie films, many more than those

RPF makes me mad as. But its a good film. So was Lantana. Has no one noticed how downright depressing Muriels Wedding is?! Don't like it much. Can't agree with you about Wog Boy though James! It had a few good moments but its not great

Agreed. Wog Boy has got some lame bits you have to admit But i think the big problem is i hate Abi Tucker and Lucy Bell. They both suck!

Of course. It's good. Bit slow in parts. Weaver deserves the accolades. Hope she gets an Oscar nom to go with the GG one.

I'm watching Animal Kingdom right now. It is a bit slow sometimes, but so far it is pretty interesting.
