I knew you guys would freak! I wouldn't call it a good movie! It was just kind of cool and much better than the previous ones. And I watched The Descendants tonight, too. Not as good as I thought it was going to be. Of all the nominated movies this award season that I've seen, I don't think this is the best...

Its definitely not. But its decent enough award bait and it will likely get a win. I think momentum is with JD for The Artist Best Actor wise, but Clooney was very good in this in my opinion. Not very "George" at all. I saw Any Questions for Ben? this morning. I think Josh Lawson is awesome- best ever 'Thank God you are Here'r' and Doug on House of Lies rocks, The Castle is gold, The Late Show still makes me laugh 20 years later and i like Rachel Taylor, but i'm not too sure what to make of this. I liked it, but i wouldn't say its a great film. Melbourne looked absolutely stunning and cosmopolitan though. A touch of false advertising there i would say

Thought i better get into my latest Amazon order so i started with Crazy, Stupid, Love. Forgot how much i liked it. And how fricking beautiful Ryan Gosling is in it Emma Stone continues to endear herself as well.

Martha Marcy May Marlene (I think that's the right order). Pretty interesting. Disturbing, but interesting.

Was shocked to learn one of the Olsen's is actually talented..... Not high on my to-see list though I got to say. I saw This Means War. I actually really enjoyed it. It had a few highly amusing parts. Reese looked stunning. She just gets better with age the bitch Tough choice between Chris Pine and Tom Hardy.... I would have to go with Chris though

Paper Man. Cool movie if you're into the indie films. I now want my own Captain Excellent.

It was pretty good, up until the end.

Watched 3 last night,
The new Three Musketeers movie - terrible. Not even Orlando Bloom could make up for this load of crap. Hated almost everything about it.
Super - I admit I got this out only because it had Nathan Fillion in it. I wish I hadn't. It could have been ok but it was terrible.
What Happens In Vegas - this happened to be on the TV when we finished Super and we ended up watching it. Light fluff but we both enjoyed it.

I watched My Week with Marilyn which was really good and Melancholia which was awesome. Probably the coolest final scene I can remember seeing in a movie. It was crazy cool.

Took off early this arvo to watch John Carter. Well my Taylor (he is mine, shut up ) was VERY good. Definitely a leading man. And he looked damn fine The fact that he was shirtless for a large majority of the film made me most happy i must say Other than the Taylor factor i actually really enjoyed the storyline, the effects were amazing (i swear that "Monster Dog" was real. And i want one!) and importantly (for me), Lynn Collins was smart and tough and cool. Dejah is no damsel in distress princess that is for sure! Nice little twist in the tail too. Will be buying it on blu-ray! ;D

21 Jump Street was hilarious. And for fans of the original series, there are some awesome moments.

A Dangerous Method. Viggo and Fassbender were awesome, of course. But Kiera Knightly ruined the whole movie for me. Her accent was atrocious and she overacted like crazy!

Oh dear, that was my very concern after i saw the trailer! I'll still check it out because of the guys and the fact that its an interesting story.

Yeah it was definitely an interesting story-- just would have been a lot better without KK. Watched John Carter today. Not the best movie, but a good family action film. Plus Taylor Kitsch.

21 Jump Street was hilarious. And for fans of the original series, there are some awesome moments. There really was. I thought you would have been too young for 21 Jump Street though mate!! Even i only saw repeats.... Damn funny movie all round i have to say Channing and Jonah were awesome, though i think Channing stole it for the most part. Lots of quotable lines. Lots of funny moments. And the cameos alone make it worth seeing. Will definitely be picking up the DVD/BRD.

I watched the series a few years ago online. I'm surprised I hadn't heard spoilers about certain cameos before seeing the movie (glad I didn't!).

Battleship. Its not going to win any awards but I bloody loved it The plot is actually a lot more developed than i expected and it actually makes more sense than your typical blockbuster. There is no "America is the greatest" stuff which seems to seep into these kind of films thank the PTB. The action scenes are pretty incredible and unlike, say, Transformers, you can actually see what is going on.The "Battleship" scene is really quite clever and certainly has you on edge. The Navy will come out of this looking very good i imagine! It also has some nice little doses of humour. The whole theatre was having a big laugh in two parts especially Taylor is just divine. His character is charming and funny and extremely endearing. And well, look at him....Add some Navy whites, DPU's and a wet t-shirt and its practically heaven Seriously, the man is about on par with JJ. I never thought that would happen!! Alex was good, Rihannah was surprising alright, Brooklyn was fine, Tadanobu Asano was lovely and Liam was, well, the usual cool Liam. The other really great addition will be familiar to all the FNLighter's, good old Jesse P. He is extremely amusing and obviously has a lot of chemistry with TK. Oh, and it has the best use of the awesomeness that is Thunderstruck by AC/DC ever. Good music all round actually. We are going again next week we enjoyed it that much ;D
