They've decided not to make the first half in 3D. Article here. That solves the problem on whether or not to go to the 3D version.

I'm not a huge fan of 3D movies (my eyes never focus quite right, and it doesn't seem as bright) - so this doesn't affect me at all. Getting very excited!

Aww I wanna go see it. I could probably go at midnight tomorrow but I don't like huge midnight shows so I might just go this weekend.

Go! ASAP!! Loved it the second time just as much. Bloody Dobby!! Interesting moment in the cinema. Two bogan loser idiots up the back yelling and shit. Two people made complaints so about half hour in the manager came to talk to them. They told him to f**k off. So they stopped the movie, put the lights on and escorted them out. We got free tickets on the way out. Bonus

Oh yes I did! I thought I posted here already. Anyway, I loved it! I wanted to go play HP with my sister around town but she didn't want to. The Dobby part made me tear up but I even teared up at the very beginning when Hermoine did that obliviate spell on her parents. But I don't remember that happening in the books. Hmm. I also really loved how they did the animation for the Deathly Hallows story. That was one of my favorite parts of the movie.

Yeah that animation would win an Oscar on its own for 'Animation - Short'. It was awesome.
In the book Hermione wiped her parents memories of her and sent them to Australia. I assume that is why there was an ad for Australia on the TV when she was doing it in the film.

OOoh gotcha. I completely forgot about it. I even forgot who's patronous helped Harry find the sword until I looked it up after getting home from the movie. Doh!

You aren't the only one there. Least you looked it up though! On the film folder at work this asshat guy who i often have angry words with was banging on about how the sword appears to any true Gryffindor in times of need and that's how it got in the lake. EPIC FAIL. Set him straight of course.

I get where he's coming from, but...yeah, WRONG! I loved this movie, I really think they just keep getting better.
