I think I liked part 1 more, but I loved it nonetheless. Was a bit confused by a few changes, but overall, the spirit of the book was there. Some beautiful cinematography.

I agree. I liked Part I more. But i'm viewing it as a whole so all in all it's definitely in the top 10 of all time. Maybe top 5 There were a lot of changes. Everything really big was hit on pretty much though, everything was done, just in some random ways at times. Snape wrecked me. As i knew it would. And of course Fred, and seeing Lupin and Tonks. The main three were wonderful. Matt too. Maggie Smith makes me grin like a fool she is just so damn awesome. And of course Alan Rickman. He was so perfect. The only weakness is Bonnie. I love Ginny in the books. That Ginny is not in the movies. I know she isn't the writer/director obviously but I think at least some of the watering down is a reaction to her lack of talent and complete absence of chemistry with Dan. And seriously could it be that hard? He is ten years younger than me and I think he is completely lovely. Anyway. Looking forward to the Blu-Ray already. Excited to watch it all together ;D

Yes, I really agree that Bonnie is the weak part. I love Book!Ginny as well - she's so feisty- but Movie!Ginny is just a disappointment. Hideous outfit at the end - Emma looked good though! Loved seeing it with Londoners - when Harry said, "it looks like King's Cross - only cleaner", the entire theatre started laughing Baby Harry crying in his cot killed me! So damn sad. I thought the whole Snape/Lily thing was handled really well.

Loved every scene in Hogwarts, Maggie Smith by far stole the show there. Just awesome. I loved the handling of Snape and Lily, and also of the Malfoy family. The latter wasn't thrown in our faces as some big story of redemption, I loved the subtlety of first Draco and then Narcissa slowly changing sides - and Lucius while not exactly changing sides showing his family as more important than power in the end. The Hermoine/Ron romance was done perfectly, and Neville how brilliant was that speech of his.

It was really a damn good movie. I was sitting in front of some annoying teenagers, though, who were giggling throughout the whole movie which ruined a lot of stuff for me, so I'm hoping to see it again soon.

I would have spun around and threatened them with violence. Or dobbed their stupid giggling asses in. I cannot stand that kind of disrespect for a movie!! Especially Harry!!

I would have spun around and threatened them with violence. Or dobbed their stupid giggling asses in. I cannot stand that kind of disrespect for a movie!! Especially Harry!! I know! I wanted to throw my water at them. I didn't say anything because last time I did that in a theater, they just got more annoying. My friend told them to shut up and they just kept on. The only negative thing I have about the movie itself (atm) is the epilogue. I didn't like it in the book either so I'm not surprised I didn't like it in the film.

I agree, I didn't like it either. I didn't mind it as much in the books and I understand why she put it in there but in the movie it was cheesy.
