Has anyone else read these? I was recommended the first one, and I sat and read all 5 within 2 days. Very very easy reading, and an enjoyable series. I am disappointed I missed seeing the first movie at the cinema and I wait impatiently for it to be released on DVD PS Yes I was tempted to put a ' at the end of series

Way to resist the apostrophe. I have heard of the series and saw a trailer for the movie. Maybe after I'm finished with the book I'm reading, I'll give them a go!

I read all of them, including the tiny little "tales of the demigods" book. I just loved this series. You're right, it was a very easy read. But it was just so daggon cute. And what a way to appeal to kids of today's generation with the main character having ADD and being dyslexic, huh?

I haven't read the Demigod tales book yet, but I have been meaning to buy it. I like that they made the kids have the dyslexia and ADD, it is nice for kids with either of those to have a hero to relate to. Especially one that is half God I hope he brings out more in the series, even if it is a spin off of sorts.

From what I've heard he is planning to do more demigod books though Percy and his friends will not be the stars. He's working on a long series of books called, I think 39 clues that he's doing with several other authors. It's kind of like...davinci code for kids...long winding codes that you have to break to understand the story. I haven't read them, so i don't know for sure. But, since the title is 39 clues, I'm assuming there will be 39 books. At least they are short.
The Demigod Tales really isn't that great to be honest. It came out between the fourth and fifth books so for those of us who already read all the other books, they're kind of a snore. That and it's filled with stuff that is obviously intended for kids much younger than us. But oh well, whatcha gonna do?
